They both cause head trauma. Obviously. And I known it's impossible. But people for decades, maybe centuries, have known bare knuckle fighting can cause serious damage. Like you know that before going into it. You have a chocie going into it. Get eblowed from the blind side is a little different. - tomburton99
Yeah for sure. Back then there was less science behind it, but if you've been hit in the head before, you know it sucks |

I like what Chytil did last night after getting popped, he did one of those backwards ass checks into a guy. Wasn’t the same guy, bitetto I think, but a retaliatory clean hit nonetheless - Slimtj100
Yeah was nice to see. He always looks like he's scared when a scrum starts. |

What is the status of Ronning? Still high hopes? Doing well where he’s playing? |

Absolutely true. And his hits were devastating. But, one difference is that his pads were actually pads, not armour plated weapons like players are wearing today. Small comfort for some of his victims, I'm sure. But, it can't help that these guys are wearing ridiculous "protection." - Tonybere
True, Its funny looking at the pads from the 90's and seeing what they are now. I appreciate that the pads are there to protect the player and its good in that sense, but the downside is like you said, its devastating to a face or head. |

Let's talk Rangers. So we know it's a no-brainer to get what you can for UFAs Zuccarello, Hayes and McQuaid, but here's why the Blueshirts should seriously weigh Chris Kreider offers:

Highly doubt he is being moved. At least from what I have heard, but they should always listen

Can't be a rebuilding team and playoff team. This is year 2. This up coming draft and the end of next season is year 3. |

We should shift our gears to the summer and who would be the targets and how much we can spend, because I have no doubt we will be spending.
Skinner apparently could be dealt now too, it is Ek tho saying it. But he’s another UFA |

Not trying to be a dyck, but they were saying yesterday it’s year one I’m like wtf no it’s not haha - Slimtj100
Unfortunately I agree with Tom. You can't be a playoff team and adding pieces and consider it a rebuild.

I understand your thought process, but the Rangers can probably only add one of those guys. And I don't think one of Skinner, Karlsson, Panarin, Stone, Duchene put this team in a position to compete for a championship. There is to much junk on this roster in Nam, Strome, Vesey, Staal, Smith, Shattenkirk and trying throw his hat in the mix is Pionk. |

Not they, it was me
I still think that this is the first year of the rebuild. There were moves prior to this that have helped in the rebuild (Stepan trade) but last year was when they started taring it down, making this the first year of the rebuild. |

Nah this has to be year to 2. Last year they moved, Nash, Grabner, Holden, Mcdonagh and Miller. |
