Interested in him and essentially acquiring a player are two different things. Even on TSN last night they said sources confirmed and denied our interest in Duchene. Seeing the price it took to get him Botts did well by not making that move.

You have to think that he had the ok from John Davidson and Ownership to pull off that trade. Guys don't get fired at least right away, if Ownership gives a thumbs up.

Yea I second that. Columbus is going to be in a tough spot in a few years. But at least they will always have the 2019 1st or 2nd round playoff exit to celebrate

Well written blog Pach. It was an enjoyable game to watch, albeit they lost in the end. At least they tried their guts out. Skill won in the end but if the Sabres show this intensity through the remainder of the schedule, i will be a happy man.

The people who really know the game of Hockey i.e. Rivet, Biron thought they played a really solid game, considering it is THE BEST team in the NHL by a wide margin. Yes, you can sometimes walk away from a loss with your head held high, and the rest of us can hope it is a turning point for a young Hockey team to build on.
