ah tks. NYR in good position I see
- fidopro

Not bad... they could add to that by trading Hayes and kreider here shortly! But they don't have a lot of good young players in the NHL already, so they're not out of the woods yet, not even close

You can't base your opinion of a prospect just with the WJC. Very small sample.
- deadpoulet

of course, but I would expect top prospects to dominate at this tournament, like Poehling and Romanov did. or at least be key players for their respective team, 1st PP unit...etc. especially at 19 y/o.

I think NYR will trade Hayes for sure, but will hold on to Kreider. Maybe they will move him at the draft or later on. They don't really have to trade him as he's still young and not a UFA.

Sounds about right... Hayes will be gone before 3 tomorrow afternoon and Kreider sometime in the next 12 months!

I predict 2 Bergevin trades today, he'll get what he needs done out of the way with the team playing a road game tomorrow night... probably won't be anything major, but he'll move! I'll even go out on a limb and say Hudon won't be Hab by 5 pm today

just for fun, I'll take that bet.
simply because I don't see any team ready to pay to acquire him.

Nobody is knocking down Bergevin's door to swing a deal to get Hudon, that's for sure... but he'll go for a late pick or he'll be a throw in

Glad I missed that one, I was out skating/falling down on the river with my niece

I just hope Bergevin doesn't do anything from here to the deadline. They need to keep their assets and continue building.

Possibly.... EE is saying Habs don't want to trade him, they like what he brings as a depth forward apparently

I don't think I would ever be as excited over them acquiring a 5th round pick as I would if this happened... but in all reality, what is Pittsburgh really getting out of this trade? The Habs would need to retain the max on Alzner, and even then...

We wish.

The only question is when is the best time to buy out Alzner.

PIT lost 2 dmen last night due to injuries, but yeah, they might find a better option than Alzner
