I'm not into obvious tanking, obviously by bringing Crawford back, someone still thinks we have 7 percent chance. We are in the proverbial rock and hard place. do we go for it, do we coast for top five, do we still ride Kane for half a game and risk injury or burn out, we do want him to get hardware and I'm sure Cat , Strome Toews and Gus want to excell for personal high end seasons. what will be will be. They sure have entertained this year, no matter what the result |

What did we get for trading Gus? I haven't had the time to check in?
Did he get traded as a defenseman or a forward? - TrueGrit
The other teams have seen him play and decided that he's not exactly what they were looking for in a defenseman. But I'm sure he'll get it figured out before he's 30.
Plus, he's got the genius from Mora coaching him now, so he should be in the All-Star game next season. And contending for the Norris. Heck, he'll probably win the Norris 3X, because he's so much better than that stiff Keith. |

That would be the playoff probability published by 'The Athletic'. |

Since bowman did not do anything today he better have a kick ass offseason starting with the draft. Please trade gust before bowman thinks about signing him to another stupid contract on the books that will saddle this team in which the hawks cannot do anything of significance. He is 27 and is not going to learn the defensive part of the game. Move on from him he shoulda been traded today. |

HAWKS did not have to do anything today ,getting Crow back could be the best move on deadline day .. A top 5 goalie for nothing ,great deal . .Big road trip coming up ..GO HAWKS !!!!! |

I'm amazed at how much attention Gus gets on this board for his price tag of 1.2 million and for next year; and being a major change agent on the PP which was a joke for last few years. I look around the league and see so many older underachievers for 3.5 Mil to 7 Mil. he is bang for the buck and would have been gobbled up today.

Crow shoulda sat out the rest of the season 2 severe concussions in less than 2 years not good. God bless him for being a competitor and wanting to come back and play but sometimes an organization needs to protect the player from him or her self. Sorry to say but this season is a wash hawks are not going to make the playoffs so big picture view play competitive hockey keep developing the young players because right now they are playing playoff hockey so a good experience. Finish in the bottom five and get a impact player and go from there. Bowman is in the clock so do or get fired this offseason and next nhl season. |

Agree Gus is great at what he does ,this board is guilty of piling on at times . |

Nah Crow is adult and a Pro he knows how he feels ,and cant imagine the HAWKS or their doctors would allow him to play if there was any extra ordinary chance he could be hurt . |

I wonder how different concussion protocol will be in 10 years. Seems like there is still a lot more to learn about concussions and long term ramifications. |

Checking line center. - mohel
Let him play a few games as goalie and see how it feels to blow a defensive assignment... |

Following Carcillo on social media has been quite educational. His current advocacy on behalf of the players cost him his job with the Hawks org, but I think he's making a real difference. |

Trade deadline comes and goes and I throw on some intentional ridicule and still more Gus trade talk. Turn the page people.
Now we are talking about trading him next year.
