Ryan Miller says he is not going to waive his no trade clause, Carolina still looking for goalie help. |

Post TDL press conference:
"The prices were just too high for many players we targeted."
"Clearly this is not where we want to be but you make the best of it."
"The goal between now and the end of the year is to find as many positives as you can"
"We are pleased with the progression of many of our younger players."
"We like our team."
FYI - at this same time last year the Hawks had one more point than they do now.

If we were playoff bound, by all means.
But because of where we stand now I would rather hang on to our assets and go shopping on July 1. Acquisitions cost dearly at the TDL so if you are not a contender why participate? - 67hawks
So we can hang a participation banner like trash like does |

How the hell did Stan not trade for micheal chaput would’ve been the perfect player name to name any of this teams playoff hopes |

I cannot tell if you are being sarcastic or not because of the expected lack of Blackhawks activity today... |

I think Stan is doing the long view (next couple years), but doesn't want to suck in the short-term. So, selling off parts for picks might be out. That leaves old-fashioned hockey trades, which seem to happen more in the off-season. |

Sorry... should have used Red Font. I was being sarcastic.
Not just lack of moves for the Hawks but around the league. |

I've thought he and Kruger would be fits in TOR. Mentioned that a couple times.
Wonder if either get moved. |

I actually think Brassard at this stage would be a terrific 3rd line center. Toews-Strome-Brassard is not bad at all if these are your top 3 centers. Saad and Brassard on the 3rd line looks pretty good to me. |

I've always liked Brassard, but is he an upgrade over AA? |

Hasn't Brassard had numerous concussions? |

Brassard was fast skill lightweight when drafted. He still is great skater? |

Doesn't really fit what the Hawks are doing right now.
Only way I see it is if AA goes the other way. |

Brassard also a UFA. Why would they spend anything on a UFA at the most expensive time of the year when they could simply wait until 7/1 and have at it for free?
EDIT just saw Ty’s post and that makes sense. |

Would be surprised to see them acquire a RHD.
If they do, I wouldn't be surprised to see Connor Murphy flipped shortly after. - Justin Lowe
Murphy had played his off side well though and they're short LHD.
Means they can move Mitchell's rights
or Young Henri for a forward perhaps.
Dougie/Faulk and Keith would not suck. |

This is true. He can very easily move him over.
We'll see. |

How about something like:
Florida receives: Anisimov, 2019 6th round pick
Chicago receives: Brassard, 2019 4th round pick, 2020 3rd round pick
In this situation, Chicago moves AA and clears cap space. They get Brassard on trial for the rest of the season. He’s not much of an improvement in AA but he does have better offensive upside, so if he shows something the rest of the way playing with someone like Saad, maybe you re-sign him this offseason. Otherwise, no harm no foul and you have the added cap space this summer to seek alternative options.
In Florida’s case, they get another year of control of AA and have the possibility of pairing him with Panarin again this summer. |

Al-
Interesting deadline with so many teams feeling they have to be in all in because the window with their current group is closing. There could be some very good players available this summer for teams that have or can create cap space. |

And the Hawks season ticket holder renewal letter stressed ability to gonafter free agents this summer. |
