How in the world do you not already know what teams Simmonds would and wouldn't go to? This should have been spelled out crystal clear weeks ago. THIS is ineptitude. If you know Simmonds wont go to Calgary, then there is no point talking to Calgary.

If I'm running the organization I would have asked Simmonds a few days ago for a list of the teams he refuses to go to. I would even be extra nice and ask what teams he would like to go to.

The point in talking to any team is the quality of the offer you might get. What do you have to lose? No reason to limit who you talk to.
