Simmonds is a second/third tier player for the purpose of this deadline. Not Fletchers fault because he can’t just give him away.

I get it.... believe me. I don't know what his issue is, but loads of talent isnt one of them.

I wish there was a writer that frequents these boards that knows something about the Dallas team that could shed light not only on Nichushkin but on what Dallas might offer for Simmonds....

The Flyers put Fletcher in this position by publicly stating they wanted to see more action.

Other GM's see this and feel like they can underbid because Fletcher needs to do SOMETHING.

Worst case scenario is they keep Simmonds, cant sign him, and have a extra 4 million in cap space to sign someone else.

He's got size and wheels, but I think it's a lack of heart, and I don't think a different city is gonna change that. Dude already bolted for home once, I think he will again.

I don't think he sucks. I think it's a flatulence issue. Too many sharts in the locker room, no one wants him around.

Looking at that draft and who was picked after #11, I sure hope Morin pans out. A lot of players I would like to see in orange and black picked after him.

It was a deep draft, but Lindros and Pronger weren't going #10 and #11.

I remember a lot of people thought Max Domi would be the Flyers' guy, since he had so many Bobby Clarke qualities, even down to the Type 1 Diabetes.

IIRC I was rooting for Josh Morrissey.

How long does he get?

I would like to see him on at least 1 other NHL roster. Sometimes you just like some players and want to see them succeed. I can't say why I liked Nichushkin, but I have since he was drafted.
