I think this is what most of us want too see.
Canucks GM Jim Benning: “The message to our fans is to continue to be patient. We’re going to do things the right way. We’re going to draft and develop and we’re going to develop this thing piece-by-piece so we can be competitive for a long time.” |

With the Palmu fiasco, and now Dahlen wanting out, does Benning need to hire a feelings coach for Utica? Or maybe RyJo isn’t all we thought he was... |

Wanted to see that in 2014, better late than never though. |

Maybe the Euro's are feeling a little self entitled and the scouts need to pay a little more attention to these kids attitudes.
Obviously their manhood is questionable. |

I agree, although I felt this organization needed to start flogging off the old core a year or 2 earlier.
Drafting and developing needs too be on-going, No matter where the organization is in its cycle. imo |

That would be the ideal scenario. Or even Poo leaves when Edler comes back. Then Biega with Hughes. - NewYorkNuck
Would that be the smallest D pairing in the league? |

You couldn’t just waive that no trade, fetch us a 2nd and then come back in the summer?
I wouldn’t resign him now just based on principle |

Biega can take a seat again.
Finally.
I like how JB said that they were going to revamp the back end this off-season.
I'd like to see them trade Tanev.
promote OJ and Hughes. - dbot
I'm not so sure you take the only good dman back there out, but I do thnk this means they are going after UFA dmen hard.
I like:
Karlsson
Myers
Nemeth
Gardiner
Chiarot
Maybe even an offer sheet of a RFA defenceman like Trouba, McCovoy or Werenski.

Principle that he used the trade protection that he earned by being a top player? I would love to see him traded and have wanted so for years but it's Gillis' fault and no one else's. |

Why exactly is it his fault?
Gillis was taking a strong team, to some heights we haven't ever seen before.
The only way he could keep the talent under the cap, was by offering NTC's.
If you really want to place blame on someone, how about the league for jot trying to negotiate the types of contracts out of the collective agreement.
I can't believe I just defended Gillis. lol |

if we win a top3 pick I'm not so sure JB takes him. but if we end up around 7-8 I could see a dman for sure. Byram is very solid but there are some talented forwards in the top10. Broberg could be off the board before Byram depending on the team. I wonder which JB's have higher? |

Don’t you hate that. I’ve found myself doing the same even though I didn’t like Gillis at all.
But the blame game becomes so annoying especially when it’s misdirected. |
