That’s cool that they’re giving him a shot

Annoys me how when we’ve changed management the last couple times the new GM just basically says FU to the previous GMs picks

GMTM doing it to McNabb comes to mind

Botts never giving Bailey & Baptiste & Guhle now come to mind
Did he really need to have guys like Criscuolo, Nolan, Josephson, etc up here?
And thank goodness we had Gorges to play over Guhle

Are Nylander & Olofsson ever gonna get a look up here?

- jdfitz77

Every GM is different I guess.

Answer the question, seat sniffer.

Because everything Pegulaville said is true and accurate. Matthews is a one dimensional player. He scores goals, that's it. Eichel is better in every other aspect of the game, a more complete player, and it's not close. We like our guy, you like yours. Have fun losing to Boston again

You realize you are responding to a quote about someone who has already said he is not watching the game

You have to be better than this

Since the 13-14 season,
Simmonds is 2nd in PP goals with 74

Guess how far ahead of him Ovechkin is?
I’ll just tell ya... OV has 116
That’s crazy

I remember after that season (where he was -35) there were quite a few ppl on here that said they wouldn’t want him as a Sabre
That was also crazy

I only quoted this post to see if that was intentional or censored.

Same, I was almost certain cock got through the filter.

Cock does but d¡ck(that's an inverted !) doesn't.

Tomorrow is make it or break it for the season. Big game. How the team responds is what I'm interested in.

This game would have been nice to at least get to OT but this leafs team has our number.

Next game is a must win, IMO. Even if in a shootout. Montreal is dropping and Pittsburgh is decimated by injuries to their defense and I don't think they can recover.

We lose tomorrow, that's the season.

Sheary is my new least favorite Sabre. He has been pretty much useless the past couple months

The best thing you can say is he tries. You don't see him pulling a Vanek, but he can't do a damn thing with the puck.

Should play him on the wing with Eichel
Even if it’s RW
Pretty sure he played both in Pitt
Let him pad his stats a bit so we can trade him in the offseason
Maybe even get a decent return

He also 'handles' the puck like a hand grenade 90% of the time.

We can put that rumor to rest with Marty and x Sabre players saying he was the hardest working just didn’t have good body language

One dimensional? You don't watch a lot of Leafs games do you?

Have fun losing to nobody in the playoffs again this year.

I think that Risto and Bogo have a ton in common. Risto is just a slightly better version (or less worse) version of Bogo.

Similarities:

- Big
- Skate fast
- Good team guy (because that seems to matter around here)
- Occasionally play tough (because that seems to matter around here)
- Play 2 spots higher in the D rankings than they should be
- Are over-compensated for where they should be playing
- Often make mind-numbing mistakes defensively
- Are often s*** shows in their own end

I'll take a D with 10 less points than Risto if he can be responsible in his own end and be able to make a good breakout pass. We can stick anyone on the pp point to pass it to 9 or 26 (you know, the actual playmakers).

I’m not gonna jump down your throat, but bogo is not on the same level as risto. Put bogo on the top line against top players every night logging top mins and he’d be exposed badly or worn down. It’s not even close man, I’m no risto lover but this is silly.

It’s okay Eichel will still be as noticeable as Matthews in the playoffs.
