Perlini is really an enigma. He had 14 goals as a rookie two seasons ago and followed it up with 17 goals last season. He has only 3 goals and 1 assist in 29 games with the Hawks this season and looks totally lost. He's still only 22 so it's too soon to write him off. Too bad he would have to clear waivers to go to Rockford because hitting the reset button in Rockford would probably be the best way to get confidence and his career back on track. - EbonyRaptor
I have no idea how he scored those based on what I have seen from him. He makes Stalberg look like a hockey savant. |

I'd love if they could send Perlini down and let him get his game going in Rockford. I think he has the tools, but something isn't clicking. |

TG, you didn't read what I said. Leddy and Daley are great passers. Q didnt mesh with when they decided to make their first pass which he wanted them to do immediately. - nickmo2699
I know you know your hockey and mean no disrespect.
Leddy ultimately a cap casualty.
But the last 2 were more than serviceable. Not sure who said it, but someone inferred that basically, yes they won cups, but they really had nothing to do with it.
Which right there disqualifies anyone from an intelligent discussion, as any player getting top 4 minutes and responsibilities have everything to do with it.
And ultimately your assessment style wise may be correct, but I have a hard time not believing Q bit off his nose to spite his face regarding Dayley and Kempny. Using his option of dressing them or not as the opportunity to stick up his middle finger because he did not get what he wanted. All of this to the detriment of the team.

Maybe some effort would help. He glides all over the ice. They can send him down. Its a risk worth taking if they have any hopes of tapping any talent he has. If someone claims him, I don't think it is one that will cause anguish in the future.

I don't understand Perlini either. He has size and speed but has shown no effort since he got here. Even Patrick Kane commented that he was the best player on the ice in the game the night before we acquired him. Something doesn't make sense here, and now JC sits him. I'd rather he play to find out what's going on, rather than Kunitz who has no business getting ice time down the stretch. |

The only way playing Kunitz makes any kind of sense, now that he played his 1,000th game and now the TDL has passed so we're not showcasing him, is Colliton feels Kunitz gives them a better chance to win the game that night more so than Perlini. The team probably hasn't thrown in the towel on this season, and rightfully so, so as long as points in the standings matter we will probably see Kunitz in the lineup most games. I would prefer Perlini play over Kunitz but last I checked Colliton has not reached out to me for my opinion. |

So Hayden can kill every offensive possession? Sikura isn't that fragile mentally. If he is going to lose confidence that easily it still is better to find it out now on a team going nowhere. They need to make a decision on whether to sign him after this season and for how much. - Elbows15
Sikura sucks.....barely attains just another guy status |

I'm watching the Toronto/Edmonton game tonight and I've caught Toronto a couple other times over the past week or two and as much as I like Kapanen as someone maybe Stan can try to acquire due to Toronto's pending cap problem - Andreas Johnsson has been as impressive as Kapanen and is also an RFA after this season. He's a little shorter at 5'10" than Kapanen who is 6'1" but Johnsson is stocky and weighs in a few pounds heavier than Kapanen. Kapanen is probably slightly faster but Johnsson is very fast as well. He plays physical and with the two goals he's already scored tonight he now has 19 goals on the season.
I'd love for Stan to acquire Kapanen but Johnsson wouldn't be a bad consolation prize. |

Do what Doug Wilson did with Hjarmealson and Niemi, , offer sheet one at $4 mil.per, if Toronto signs one, then work out a deal for the other. |

Yep - and with the way they've been playing their market value is going up making it more difficult for Toronto to afford both of them, especially now that Stone signed for $9.5M and Marner is younger and has better scoring numbers than Stone. Toronto is going to have to find a lot of cap space to sign all 3 of Marner, Kapanen and Johnsson. |

Does Montreal have all their # 1’s to go after Marner? |

Steve Konroyd on the pre-game show just said (again) that Crawford is one of the best puck handling goalies in the league. WHAT? That's a ridiculous statement that I've heard Konroyd make a number of times. CC is a great goalie but the weakest part of his game is when he ventures out behind his net and tries to pass the puck. |

Well that would stink because then Toronto will have plenty of cap space to sign Kapanen and Johnsson - UNLESS - Montreal offers a very high number and Toronto matches which would make it even harder for them to sign both Kapanen and Johnsson.

Yuck - the 1st period was pretty much YUCK. Kane and the Hawks seem a little out of kilter. Not crisp. |

he has improved but...agree...it is the weakest part of his game
konroyd is no student of the hawks...he makes to many dumb statements like that and is to passive and PC with his analysis

It underlies the Ducks offensive incompetence. |
