Carter Hutton had more points in February than Tage Thompson. - gerbe75pts
But Tage is “developing” up here...
or not |

He does seem to have a hard time getting his points acrosst. he's also very terrible with names. - Khmylev
Cutting the color commentator and letting Ray do it between the benches was a terrible move. Ray was entertaining and funny in small doses. Now, he's just irritating and repetitive.

IMO he's basically going back and forth between sitting and playing every other game.
Blame Housley, not Tage. We will be adding him to the list of busted prospects if something doesn't change. Confidence is shook. Can't get a string of 3 games in a row, yet Sobotka hasn't sat. |

This season is done for the Sabres. Time for Botts/Housley to do the following:
- sit/waive Sobotka, Okposo, Scandella, Girgs
- bring up Oloffson, CJ Smith, Nylander, Dougherty or Borgen
The first 4 guys are not part of the future. The second 4 guys - we don't know. Let's see what they got.

He’s played 54 out of 63 games
That’s 6 out of every 7 games
That should be enough to figure out how to outscore your goalie
Stop with the excuses
And i know it’s not u, but the playing with Sobatka one is BS too
When the guy does get chances,
he shoots the puck wide all the damn time
That’s not Sobatka (or anyone else’s) fault |

I think Oloffson and Nylander should get their 9 game try outs... but we all know it isn't going to happen. |

These guys have been in the AHL
What do u mean by “9 game tryout” here?
That generally applies to guys in Junior that u can try in the NHL for 9 games before it counts as a season accrued in their ELC
It doesn’t have any baring here
Olofsson & Nylander have a season accrued this year whether or not they play any games for the Sabres
Playing in Rochester counts too |

He's gotten worse. He's going the wrong direction. We need a coach that betters young players, not ruins their confidence then puts them in the box. Tage has shown well in a number of games, only to be put back on the 4th line or scratched the next game.
That isn't an excuse, that's a factor that's probably impacting his development.
Sobotka is merely taking a spot up. In my eyes, there's nothing that should prevent Housley from seeing this and sitting him.
I'm just tired of the folks bagging on a 20 year old kid when he's literally getting pulled in every direction by this franchise. No consistency. Bad results getting worse. |

Wouldn't they not be rookies if they play 10 or more?
Nylander has played i forgot that too. Yeah I was just confusing things. Sorry about that! |

Is it just me, or does Risto seem to be a little lost out there the last couple games.
Perhaps he almost got traded and hes lost some passion.
Or, he almost got traded and hes upset he wont get a playoff run with whoever he went to |

If it's not, that would be interesting too. Very hard to squeeze both him and Olofsson into the lineup, without asking them to play their off-wing.

I like ERod, Zemgus, Larsson for a combined 5mill. I think these guys love the game and play hard. Ullmark and McCabe will get raises and their term will be the factor for the overall cost.
We have to find a way to move Sobotka, Sheary, Scandella. Okposo is the dead weight. I am on the fence with Tage and he can be a piece to a deal, same with any defensemen not names Rasmus.
Okposo has been discussed and no one is taking him on period. Only option is a buy out, sell him to Seattle with a 1st round pick, plead for him to be better or get into a one punch fight with him and he dies (terrible joke, I know).
Pommer and CJ are out. Maybe CJ will sign a 2 way deal.
So the problem is the team is effectively the same. The definition of stupid is doing the same thing over and over expecting a different result. The result will be the same - 8 years and counting. We need to move the above 3-4 players for second line scoring; hopefully a rookie will step up or we draft someone who leaps into the NHL.

How is it possible to sniff coke all night and slam booze and broads and still be an NHL professional athlete the next day?
Have you read about Jack’s game day regimen? How could he be sniffing white powder all night and then go and do all that? I know Jack is more of a pro than Samson but how can they possibly function?
I play men’s league hockey after work and I’m done for the day.
Moreover, a guy I used to work with 15 years ago died 3 days before Christmas because he was sniffing coke laced with fantanyl. Dead as a door nail. Why risk 5 million plus a year to pretend you are at studio 54?
How do nhl players watch their teammates do dumb stuff and not say anything?
Can u imagine Pegulas reaction if Sammy got busted with the coke? - Da_Cashman
Because they think they are invincible like any other young person. It’s not just Samson, I’m sure 80% of the league mixes it up. Give a young guy money and fame and why not. There are tons of everyday high school and university/college students that are into the snow amongst other things and they are all deadbroke never mind being a celebrity of sorts with nothing to do but show up for practice and games. I’m not saying Jack or Sam still do it, but hey half of the Kings roster got busted for it and they haven’t won a cup since haha. |

Tage has been getting put on the 4th line more throughout the season bc he hasn’t been plying well
And he really hasn’t spent all that much time there
If he was t being outscored by a goalie,
then he’d probably see a lot more consistent usage... don’t ya think? |

I dont think Phil has the ability to lead a team or make a proper lineup.
I think his defensive coaching ability is overstated as well given the personnel he had in Nashville.
I didnt like the hire when it happened and he hasnt done anything to change my mind yet. |
