We were talking about EG and Gagner. Dahlen asked for a trade, end of story there IMO he had to go.

Didn't Spooner put up almost a ppg with rangers prior to them signing him?
- belcherbd

yeah 16 in 20, not a big enough sample size for me but I just have a bias against smaller players who don't have high end talent and provide nothing outside of their offense. He can't PK and is soft as butter, his career sh% is 8% too which is bad for an offensive forward(Pearson is at 11%), playmaking is his best skill. Too bad Virtanen is out actually, I would've given them a look together.

I hope he proves me wrong.

Goldy only needs to wrap his head around being committed 100% & follow examples of the leaders & attention to details.

I dont disagree with any of that, but dont see the pump and dump that you said earlier. I dont expect Spooner to do much here to his credit he produced in both organizations even if sporadically.

If he can buy into the message of the GreenToughLove program the way Hutton did last year, he may be a useful player next season.

Now that we know Dahlsey is a crybaby, I think Jim made out splendidly yesterday. I mean, in a perfect world he would’t be in this predicament, but he did well to get out from under his good mistake.

I'm a little surprised there hasn't been more talk about JB's other move yesterday. Beyond trading Gudbranson and Dahlen, he also changed to a lighter shade of hair and eyebrow polish. It's a much more natural look. Hadn't seen anybody mention it.

Crazy how 4th on the team in points = has not had results yet.....

It's a work in progress, but c'mon.

I meant in terms of consistency, I'm not denying his offensive ability

Good. He's had to get roasted plenty before he started making decent moves, this last year or so he seems to have found his touch a bit.

I admit I went from dissatisfied with the lack of trade activity to pretty happy with the moves that JB made. Addition by subtraction with EG, coin toss with the prospects.

Canucks looked alive last night, good win for them, SO for Markstrom. maybe Ducks just looked lifeless...

Schenn for MDZ is also addition by subtraction really. Schenn takes EG's spot and a slot is opened up for kids to rotate into and Pearson can try to prove he can play middle six.
