Gravel is having a vg season in Halifax, too. - Elbows15
So are we saying Stan has some decent to good prospects on defense and goal in the pipeline and he has gotten us out of cap hell (which he put us in, but that we did not think was possible not that long ago).

While it remains to be seen how they each pan out, Bowman has stocked the pipeline with goalie prospects:
Delia
Forsberg
Lankinen
Gravel
Nalimov
Peeters
Tomkins
As opposed to the forwards ranks or the blueline where there are multiple spots, you need at least one to hit and ideally 2 if you want the starter and backup to be home grown. The first 4 have good potential. Can at least one of them emerge?
Possibly Nalimov if he ever crosses the pond. Peeters has never impressed in camps and some reports even stated he seems disinterested. Tomkins will be a career minor leaguer.
Interestingly, on Draftsite, they have had the Blackhawks drafting anywhere from 3-5 goalies this year. Wiz refreshes the projections about once week, I assume based on the standings and scouting reports.

The Blues are a good example of how much getting good goaltending matters. Binnington has been the big difference for them and with Winnipeg and Nashville more or less just treading water lately I think the Blues have a good shot of winning the division. - EbonyRaptor
Nashville at Winnipeg tonite should be entertaining. I keep thinking St. Louis will peak and fade. It just isn't happening. May not ever happen. |

Question:
If they do win the Cup, will St. Louis fans throw less or more beers on me when I go there to see 'Hawks games? |

Yeah. What's that about, anyway? Go to plenty of Cubs-Cards games in St. Louis, and most fans are very civil. Blues fans? Another breed, entirely.

Especially when beers are now pushing $10 per. It's downright alcohol abuse! |

Lets say Crawford looks great to finish season here and comes out next year looking great...don't we shop him around ASAP?
Don't get me wrong, I love Crawford and think he is greatly underrated but maybe its time to shop him around soon? |

A 34 year old double concussed goalie has no value. I love crow but his NHL career has about 1 year left in it unless he can go through next season uninjured. |

They will have to have a contingency plan in place, that's for sure. Don't know what the shelf life of a twice concussed goalie is. Seems to be precarious enough to sign another proven goalie in the offseason. Can't rely on Delia, yet.

TBF, Bowman had a couple of years where i think he was caught in between re-building or making a run for it. i feel like deep down he knew what needed to be done but with the remnants of the core, maybe he felt he owed it to them to go for it.
He seems to have become focused again after a couple of rough years. |

yeah, hard not to get choked up there. hockey players remain the most humble group among all major league players.
though, a lot of them do a poop ton of great things for their communities that we don't hear about. across all sports |

Yep, and concussion recovery seemed to be successful for him when everyone thought he was washed up.
Having had three in my life, and two playing rec hockey, can tell you its a very case by case situation. I just wish CC shut it down all year this time and come back less vulnerable next year. |
