Anyone else a little concerned for the expansion draft? - bulet13
Well one thing is for sure unless something else happens...
One of these will no longer be a Flyer
Provorov
Sanheim
Ghost
Myers
Morin

Jersey-number related trivia:
After Mark Howe, 10 Flyers' players wore #2 before it was retired. Without looking, can you name the most recent one? - jmatchett383
Hatcher is the only one that pops out right away, but I think a young kid wore 2 |

The last Flyers to wear #2 was the great Lukas Krajicek, backbone of the 2010 SCF Flyers' defense. - jmatchett383
Ok not a kid, just someone forgettable |

Fletcher needs to go get the bread man if he sees us as a destination. Bottom line. You go get the best players in the league when their available and you pay what it takes to do it - Just5
Why would Panarin want to come here? |

Why would Panarin want to come here? - Tomahawk
Why wouldnt he?
1. Apparent young franchise goalie
2. Young and talented 1-7 defensive corp
3. Young offense |

Exactly. Panarin signing with the Flyers is a very unlikely possibility |

Russian, different breed. He is not looking at teams that can win cups, he is looking at the most money and a paradise to live. |

I'm not sure Philly is much different than Columbus in terms of on-ice. Both franchises have young building blocks in place. Flyers might be deeper, but they don't have anything that can really match Jones/Werenski/Dubois.
And if it's about winning, neither franchise seems to be able to get past the 1st-round.
If it's about location... then he's going to Manhattan, Florida or California. |

Jones is in his 8th NHL season. How good do you think Provorov will be in his 8th NHL season. In my opinion, I see Sanheim rapidly escalating as a player next season followed close behind by Myers. Gostisbehere gets his game back to where we know it can be and that is a hell of a defense corps. Not to mention a future star goaltender. I see the Flyers doing a lot of winning in the future.

I agree with you that the Flyers have a bright future, but if I'm the hottest UFA commodity on the market, I'm not banking on hopes and dreams. |

Seems like a contradiction. They have a bright future but it's hopes and dreams? I think the Flyers in a few years are going to be a contending team. A player like Panarin can speed that up some. He'll be signing a 7 year deal with a new team. How many shots does he want at the prize?

And Florida rangers have better odds at success ? Philly is a huge step over Columbus if nothing else but proximity to big cities like NY lol. But the sports, city, atmosphere etc. Are light years ahead. Idk if that matters to him but to some it does. I remember leino said he didnt understand fans and why they got so excited. |

I'm not sure the main draw for him is a young, up and coming team. If it was, why does he want to leave Columbus? |

It was strange seeing #10 out there. I know the number is not retired for Leclair, but it seems like not many (if any) players have worn it since he left. I can't think of anyone off the top of my head - Big_E_88

Hard to say. I think he wants to test free agency. If you join a team that might be ready immediately, that window can close in a hurry. A team like the Flyers seems like it could have a window that stays open longer.
