Dude this isn’t Thompson vs. Erod

Erod has been better all around.

I’m pointing out that Erod is not a finisher. He’s a decent playmaking bottom 6 forward. He is not a good goal scorer

I think the most alarming stat about Ristolainen's +/- is that the next closest players are Sobotka and Thompson with Okposo not too far behind.

-29 to their -14 and -11 respectively.

Ristolainen is on the ice when a lot of goals against are scored. Which means he is bad at the defense.

Ristolainen is a power-play specialist. We absolutely should consider trading him for Taylor Hall. Oh, wait.

Edit: When this team is good, we might need a PP specialist but by that point, Montour and Dahlin will have passed him on the depth chart and he will be mostly useless.

I have 0 issues with Erod being here in a bottom 6 role. He’s been 2x as good the last 25 games as he was the first 30.

He just can’t be a guy we rely on to score. His production should be a bonus

Erod is very frustrating

he has the tools and speed to be a second line player


he has the brains sometimes of an echl player


he tries hard though which is more then I can say for half of our roster
