Taking Lefty’s point of view is taking Hughes for granted as instant offense & OJ steps up to solidify the D. Leaves us picking BPA F once Byram is gone. That’s an ok scenario but pins hopes on F prospects to make big strides. Looking like we are in need of more drafts & some more misery is in store for a few years yet.

I've largely enjoyed the season, minus the long losing streak. We're (frank)ed now, but it's been a fun year. I thought Petey and Marky might be able to pull us through to get a wildcard spot, but Petey's gone a bit cold and we don't have much else going for us.

So I'm excited about next season. The kids look good and we turned over a lot of the roster. The offseason focus needs to be on the D and making sure the kids come to camp ready to carry the team. And who would have thought goaltender looked like an actual position of strength?
