I think 90 points will be enough to make the playoffs. Canucks only need to go 13-3-1 in their final 17 to make it. The Arizona game wasn’t a must win, they still have 3 more do-overs in their bag.

This is what bugs me about the whole “need to win this one to keep pace” crowd. If you step back and look at the bigger picture you can actually see the insanity.
Boy the time sure passes, we lost this talented Gentleman 11 years ago today. I remember watching him play a double show at Harpo's when this album came out.

I know myself I am not hoping or expecting playoffs, but I do hope we win all the time. I just like watching them win and play good hockey.
The part I find funny is the Tank Crowd. I will compare Hughes to Debrincat and Kakko to Heisher . After that it gets thin quick and a team might be better off drafting around 10 th so they stay away from the fools gold like Dach and Cozens. I think Byram is a decent selection also. Our chances of landing a top two pick are very slim.
As I said I think drafting 7-15 we will get a decent player that will be ready in 3-4 years but it is not worth tanking for. Just go out and play the games . Whatever happens happens.

I think there is a lot of room between Tiny Jump and Tank commander. I also would prefer to watch a win than a loss, even if it was a “real good effort”. They’ll get a good player, maybe not a great player, and it will take several years for them to be ready.
My point is that even before the losses to Colorado and Arizona, when they were in the thick of it, they needed to go 13-5-1. Playoffs haven’t been a reality for much longer than the one loss to the Yotes.

I think with the draft in town there's more hope for a high pick this year. Hopefully Hughes signs and get some games in while being mentored by NTC. Perhaps JB may make a splash at the draft. I'm going with 5-7.

I think most fans realized a couple of weeks back when we held the last playoff spot that the chances of hanging on were slim.
There were about 5 other teams a point or two away with 3 games in hand. Not a very circumstance to be in

I hope the big splash Benning makes is in the summer. I hope their is a big trade for RHD. Jets are cap strapped so I would not mind a move like JV OJ and Tyler Madden for Trouba . If they could swing a second deal with another team for a high RHD then I will be very happy
