Bennng has so much money tied up in bottom level/performance players, I'm not sure how he's gonna clean this up but it'll be interesting.
Eriksson - 6 million
Sutter - 4.4 million
Spooner - 3.1 million

Richardson at 1.25 million is much greater than Beagle at 3 million. This is where the owner doesn't help Benning out by blindly allowing him to spend without recourse.

Depends on how you look at it and how far your vision of the team goes.
When the games are more meaningful next season and we are 5 spots closer to a PO spot I'll take Beagle anyday over the current version of Richardson.
The GM isn't just thinking about 'this' season when it comes to these signings as I'm sure most can figure.
Sure he's overpaid for some but all GM's have. Of course we want 'value' throughout the lineup but a lot of it is a craps shoot. 1.5 mil or 3 mil there are plenty of busts and scraps out there at all prices lol. |
