Having said this, Housely brings no fire to his team. He is underwhelming as a presence behind the bench in the same way Bylsma was. We needed a strong presence behind the bench who could command the attention of young players. In the same way that Tocchet has earned the respect of his players in the desert.

No. I believe he has overhauled 70% of the roster. And had opportunities to rid of the likes of bogosian. The roster is his doing at this point.

Okposo is the one player he inherited, and cannot get rid of at the moment.

I don't think Dunleavy should try the nicknames at all. It was done by RJ and after a while it got old. If you guys want to hear good hockey announcer..listen to Bill Hewitt from 1970s Toronto and Montral's Danny Gallivan. They talk a bit more about their home teams who they get paid by but they are not what you call "homers".

Unfortunately players need a break. Eichel cannot play the full OT. Sobotka doesnt log minutes as if he was an all star caliber player. Also where is our 2nd like center?

disagree on the first point. Agree on the 2nd part. It's more than just players (although this is an issue as well), this team is under performing and that's on the coach, the line ups this coach is putting out there are horrific. the special teams (PP) coaching has been better recently but for the vast majority of the year was a train wreck .

when Kyle is getting the 4th most ice time... it's a huge problem.

Risto is still leading this team in ice time why??? Talk about setting up a guy to fail.... he might be the most misused guy in the NHL the last 5 years. pair him in the 4 slot and he is much better.

Really Housley, you play a goalie back to back games. Especially, having to try and save shots from Crosby among others. The team is much better than its record. The coaching is just bad. Housley was a good player, however, he just cannot coach. There is no way in heck you can make it to the playoffs so keep on losing and try and get a better draft pick. It looks as though it may take an entire decade to build this team with such poor leadership. I used to look forward to hockey season.

We really havent had a cap issues, so I wouldn't.

It has a lot to do with both.

Housley had Erod/Sheary/Okposo out there with the goalie pulled with 3 minutes left.

Because he decided to keep our only 3 really good forwards on one line, which as dumb as it is, it wasn’t as dumb as pulling your goalie with an NHL 3rd line on the ice.

He has been a very underwhelming coach so far

He has no feel for the game and the flow, which is amazing because that was his game when he played.

I just pray to God that Botts was just backing his coach up because he's not making a change during the season... Im going to loose any confidance if Housley is still here after the end of the year...

Not that great since their win streak actually.

They’ve lost 4 of 6 and captain greatness is riding a 5 game pointless streak as his offense has crashed down to earth since the all-star break.

We will miss the playoffs by 10+ points.
