Oooh i like

Me too. Either he or Dach are gonna be the first CHL prospect taken. I'm worried Dach slides and becomes a Ranger.

The Rangers have no idea how to tank.

Kind of amazing how they are a .500 hockey team.

What's the knock on Dach?

Reality is that this team isn't half bad. We've talked about it at nausea already, but the depth is decent. The top talent is missing.

His skating. He can do everything. He's a big center that can defend and score. But he's not fleetest of foot.

Been there, done that...

I see a lot of mocks saying we'd take Peyton Krebs at 9.

Agreed. As I've said many times before, there are several really bad teams in the league this year. The Rangers are not one of them, it was never realistic for them to tank hard. It's been since the 90s since I remember this many awful teams in the league.

Krebs is very skilled. Very creative. I'm not a huge fan because he's more past first and finesse. But he dictates the pace of play for Kootenay. Plus he's the captain of that team, which is rare for a draft eligible player.

I just looked at standings...they stink. Don't put too much stock in this opinion, but I would rather draft players that are coming from winning backgrounds.

I think they nailed picking this head coach, he knows what he’s doing.

He may scratch people (Chytil) and do weird lineups, but I haven’t seen will and drive like this since torts. You look at Deangelo, Vesey and Buch and you see he can develop guys, all 3 have really been great for at least this second half so far

I gotta disagree. The Ranger rank 21st in goals for. 25th in goals against. 26th on the penalty kill. 15th on the power play, 24th in shot attempts against and 30th in shot attempt differential. This team is bad. They got good goal tending early from Lundqvist and getting it now from Georgiev.

It's not his fault they stink. Every CHL league has a draft just like the NHL. It's tough for bad teams to become good.

They are bad, but they aren't awful. TO tank, you have to be abysmal. They are not good, but they aren't bad enough to tank. I'd say the offense is a bit misleading, even since that horrendous December/early January, the offense has really picked up. We might sneak into the high teens by seasons end.

Personally, I'd say top 5. But it depends on the lottery. Some teams may go for Byram or Broberg.

Think a lot of the scratches happen because of what happens at practice. Some of them are obviously because of games, but the ones people get confused over are practice related. Its why I laugh when people want to criticize Quinn, yet not one of us knows what goes on in practice or off the ice after games.

What amuses me is that on twitter, the same people who say these things want the team the tank. I mean wouldn't this help with that? It's all about big picture, I'd rather you fix whatever issues those guys now with scratches and potentially losing some games than let it go unchecked and you have "insert lazy player here"
