Anybody else think that we were ridiculously lucky last night?

Sure, I'll take the two points, but I didn't think Calgary's play was reflected in the score.

Rachel Doerrie explains coaches decisions for back-to-backs on the Steve Dangle Podcast. Hopefully this clears it up for those who were confused with Andersen starting against Edmonton and Sparks starting against the Islanders.Hopefully we can now move on from complaining about Babcock's decisions with goalies.

Starts at about 43 minutes.

17pts in 40 games.
Not too shabby

On pace for prorated 24 goal season

Not bad for a 29 year old broken down midget who was rebuilt by the Leafs sports science staff

Second half of the second period after the Marincin penalty was atrocious, and they had a couple of chances in the 3rd, but I thought overall the Leafs had some jam and played well.

Hearing TOR working on a one-year extension for G Garret Sparks. In the $750K range, sounds like.

Yep, and a few non calls against the leafs. The Z elbow to tkatchuk being the most obvious.

I missed it when it happened - came back to the TV and the commentators were talking about it.

I naturally assumed it was Tkatchuk pulling something dirty on Zaitsev, so I remarked to my dog about how he's a dirty SOB, just like his dad, yadda yadda yadda.

And then I saw the replay.

I regret nothing.

It will be interesting to see what MakeASavey's next contract looks like.

For those of us too lazy to download it, what does she say?

I read something interesting a few years ago - a goalie (I think it was a Buffalo goalchie) said that he would prefer going back to back, and then getting the next game off. He thought it would be better for him, as he could remain "in the zone" mentally through 2 games, and then have the luxury of being able to relax for a few days.

Holtby I think is the goalie you're thinking of.

I personally think it's as interesting as discovering what has changed in my unoccupied apartment when I get home after work.

Ennis?

On pace for 20+ 5v5 goals, not too shabby at all.

I remember fans in here hating him before the preseason was even over.

Complain about the Martins and the Komarovs and then whined when Dubas went out and grabbed some skill that had been flung like poo from another team.

I have a guy in my Rolodex, who would be perfect for this. Please hold.

People have a problem with a mediocre backup making league min on a team that needs cap space next season?

He's much more chill on his podcasts, and on this particular one that Rachel girl and Adam Wylde do most of the talking.

Look on the bright side:

We get to hear Uggie complain about our mediocre backup for another 12 months.
