Here's one - Cuz he gets to play with eichel. Skinner could have had 5 goals tonight and should have had at least 2. This team is so great at playing well for 57 minutes and losing. Risto and Scandella get out of position and give up a goal, so let's put them on the ice a minute later and watch them fck up again - turbo044
I’m thinking Money and team also coaching as is this team will not be ready for years.. |

Skinner is no different then Hoffman, JVR, E.Kane, heck even Dizingel could probably score 30+ playing with Eichel. I like Skinner but if he wants $9M+ then it’s easy to see why Botts isn’t budging. |

Kind of the way I see it, good player but He isn’t going to be the difference maker on any team. Nice peice of a puzzle but not a main peice. |

As long as our "core" continues to shine, I would prefer loses honestly.
If we can nail a top 8 Player in the Draft , A center would certainly be Very Nice
Could you imagine if we finished at 6 or 7 and won the lottery again |

Andrew Allen needs to GTFO. These goalies are (frank)ing up big-time on fundamentals, Ullmark never has his stick on the ice and pucks sneak underneath him all the time. Neither goalie can seem to catch a puck clean in the last 3 months... |

This is so dead on. Ullmark has great potential but is not there yet. He has been VERY leaky of late and thats the worst, when these pucks literally go through him.....he will improve Goalies are late to develop but I like what he brings. We have had poor goaltending of late, but if we can get into the top 8 picks WOW!! |

I'm not too mad about the pucks that sneak through the arm and the body, that's a big adjustment this year with the smaller arm pads, but the ones that sneak under the leg pads or through the 5-hole when all that's needed is to keep your stick on the ice are maddening. |

Risto was on the ice for 24 of 29 of McDavid's shifts(and the ones he wasn't were all very, very short ones) tonight. Gross negligence on Housley's part. |

Question- has Eichel ever had a hat trick?
Second question- why doesn’t anyone stand up to “future savior” Zach kassian?
One observation- the refs sucked and blew so many calls against the Sabres. |

They better give Skinner what he wants.
You couldn’t find 2 5 mil FA’s to
A. Agree to play in this laughable organization
B. Produce 30-40 goals with Eichel

Watching Phil's post-game.
He actually seems pissed for once.
Basically said the guys on the ice are lazy. That's partly his responsibility. You can't just stand there jamming on your gum and only try to lay on them in between periods. You have to actively get on them while they sit on the bench.
I used to bag on Lindy for how he dogged Vanek and before him Afinogenov. Now I understand why, and now I understand why he gave up on Afinogenov the last couple years he was here. The guy simply would not listen to his coach.
I doubt our current team has this problem - yet. The coach actually has to bag on his players while the game is being played, not just in practice.
What a mess. |

The thing that drives me nuts is they give up so many goals with a minute or less left in the period. Those 2 goals at the end of the second sunk them, and they happened a minute apart at 18:46 and 19:55 those are killer goals. They seem to do it in every game they lose. |

I guess they can't wait to go into that comfortable locker room they have.
Pretty sad when they would rather go sit in their fancy locker room than play hockey.
People lambasted me for saying the culture in that place is toxic from top to bottom, and part of that is cadency, complacency, comfort and entitlement. All of those traits are reflected in the person who bought the team and brought that attitude. It was contagious and afflicted the entire community with a sense of accomplishment - one that comes with riding the coat-tails of a billionaire.
You don't get rich by being a good or nice person.
What happens when you mix a billionaire with a "blue-collar town" and a working class population? An "if you build it, they will come" mentality.
Jeff Skinner looks to be halfway out the door already and I can't say I blame him. It's not money he wants, it's a healthy work environment and I hope for his sake he tests the waters as far away from Lake Erie as possible.
Terry Pegula took a traditionally mediocre franchise with a tendency to overachieve and fracked the hell out of it's foundation until the brackish became contaminated. Then he tried to sell that contaminated water at a premium and the locals, however endearing, were too uneducated to know any better.
Buffalo - An all America City. Buffalo. One of the first cities with electricity. The World's Fair! The cultural epicenter of America (in 1900).
I liked her best when she lost the make-up and had her pride. Now she's ageing, all dolled up and full of herself because someone slipped her a roofie and she got Stockholm-Syndromed into reliving her trauma over and over with an inferiority complex that would make Satan blush. That's the walking contradiction that is a decaying rust-belt city that can't and won't get out of it's own way and still embraces it's segregation and confederate outskirts, but only under the table or behind your back because the denizens don't even have the confidence to wear it proud unless they are surrounded by a dozen of their cohorts.
Ever wonder why the Canadian National Anthem has that line "The true North" in it? Is it really surprising when you can't get more than 5 miles outside of the city limits without seeing a confederate flag on a rusty pickup truck with raised tires and a git'r done sticker on the bumper? There's more arched rims on baseball caps in this town than there is jobs and even New Era saw the irony and exited stage-left.
But at least we got that Solar City. I heard it's bringing over 5,000 jobs to the area.
I am so disappointed in this place.
In before "If you don't like it you should leave!" comments. It's a literal black hole. You can only make enough to live on the event horizon, but never enough to jump to hyper-space and let it be the fart in the wind it truly is in this wasted potential, urban-sprawl sh!t-hole that can't make even one beneficial decision for itself to maintain any kind of credibility.
But those chicken wings tho.
