Last year it would of costed you 7x7 or 5x7 (E.Kane and JVR). So accounting for inflation he shouldn’t see a dollar over $8M. Hence why Botts is telling him to get f***ed if he wants over 9M.

I understand but he’s so young and most likely going to have 30 + in a down year the cost would be high but I believe he’s worth it players like him are never on the market

Serious question...
In your opinion, at what point should players be expected to contribute and take responsibilty for their game without the "their young" excuse?

I ask because the game is quickly being turned over to the youth movement playing in prominent positions, and many are succeeding on a consistent basis. More is expected younger.

For those of you who are advocating letting Skinner go.... Who is going to score 40 goals for this team? All you do is open a gaping hole by letting him go....

Yeah and they once let their 2 best players walk on July 1 and look where it has gotten them some 10 years later..... If Skinner walks it will guarantee another 10 years without playoff hockey in Buffalo. It will only confirm that the Sabres have absolutely no desire to put a competitive team on the ice...
