For the same reason they do every year Codes. Turns out Sergachev was a decent call though. I think Juolevi(part through the year at the latest) and Hughes (right out of the gate) will be on the team next year. Juolevi would have been called up had he not been injured, I think he may still be top4 guy myself. I'm very confident Hughes is.

but who has preached meat and potatoes in prospect selection on these boards? I dont recall Rasmussen being a target by any posters, had never heard of that defenseman that you named above as a target either.

So as of right now the Canucks have the 6th-best lotto odds according to tankathon. And this is with EP having a great season, Markstrom playing better than last year and the West being a joke.

Lol

Looks like the guys who predicted that this pre-season are looking good right now

- Nucker101

They've already surpassed my prediction of 55 pts.

It really seems to me that early round drafting should be much more heavily focused on skill as opposed to physicality. It's a nice bonus when a top player can play heavy or with a bit of edge but if you have a need for toughness on a team it can usually be solved through trades or free agency, whereas you won't be signing/trading for a top 2 Dman or a 1st line forward very often.

Tanks Carol

Benning will sign both Panarin and duchenne on top of trading Sutter and goldobin for taveras. Remember, cap space is a non issue, if we can afford a 12 million dollar 4th line, we can afford a 33 million dollar first line.

Panarin tavaras duchenne
Petterson Horvat Boeser
Hughes. Gaudette virtanen
Eriksson beagle rousell
Gaunce

Edler Karlsson
Hughes Myers
Hutton Tanev
OJ Stecher

Markstrome
Demko

Heard there may be a cheerleaders only meeting shortly. Rumor has it there's displeasure with Marwood's coaching technique.

More to come...

I'm genuinely curious if he learned his lesson from the Eriksson signing, among others. Some may point to Beagle/Schaller and say no he hasn't, but realistically those aren't high-risk the way Loui was

Benning is an idiot. The only hope for this franchise to take the next step going forward, is to fire Benning & Green as soon as the season is over.

Anybody with parting words or wellwishes going into the Fantasy pool quarter finals week?

I know I'm not a regular sh*t-shooter around here but props to those who've come this far, best of luck to the rest of you sub-standard managers next year!

Looking forward to some Quinn Hughes action before we go into another looooong summer.

Schaller was a waste of money. I liked Beagle, but I thought they would have gotten rid of Sutter. Then Gaudette could have been up the entire year.

You're right, if they are not fired immediately that's it for the franchise, might as well stop following the team

I suspect Sutter was planned to go at the TDL until he got injured. They should've just gotten whatever they could when he was last healthy

My first fantasy pool, I'm just stoked not to finish last even though I missed playoffs by 20 points

Not buying it. He wouldn't have been called up. He was the 3rd pairing defence before he went for surgery.

The garbage the Canucks have to offer won't be any more attractive on draft day.
