Yeah, he can PK and is usually the first back checker.
Schaller is the forward version of Gudbranson when it comes to puck skills, he struggles to receive a damn pass. - Nucker101

Gudbranson plus 2 with one assist and two wins.
Nick Bonino 2.0

If Schaller goes back to Boston he'll probably score 20. |

I like the defensive options. I don't really like any of the forwards suggested. too old mostly and Eberle just sounds like an absolute douche. Freland I guess but the conc's give me pause for a guy that plays that style. |

2 games, Gudbranson had a point streak here this season too lol. I hope he does well in Pit, he seems like a good dude, but he sucked here.
Bonino was the same player in Pit, he just had better line mates(Kessel), and people still don't understand that a dude who starts off shooting 15%+ during the first 2-3 months of the season is going to have a slow 2nd half of the season unless it's an EP/Boeser level of shooter, that's why he "struggled" down the stretch as a Canuck. |

Maybe if Marchand/Pastrnak/Bergeron literally back the puck in off his ass 10-15 times |

Helps when Crosby is playing out of his mind and him dumping it out of the zone is really all he has to do. Much better defensive team up front too. |

I bet Gudbranson does a lot better seeing he won't be in his own end 20 minutes a night now |

No doubt about that, but let's not pretend that he wasn't apart of the problem here. |

He's always been a defensive liability, bang around and get 20 points (if he's really on his game guy. 4th liner. On one hand you can't blame JB for wanting to get a bit scrappier but you have to be more selective. Roussel was a great signing. Easier to look at the negative I think, Beagle and Roussel have both been as advertised. 2/3 is pretty good. |

I see it as 1.5/3, at best
Beagle is meh to me, and he's only going to get older/slower, turns 34 next year. Roussel was a nice signing. Schaller is worse than Gaunce and Archibald. |

Ya anyone looks better on a better team, just the nature of the beast. If they keep him on the bottom pair though I think that's where he can be a little effective. Playoff kinda guy, but I'm very glad he's gone. I've liked Pearson thus far, I'd say he's played better than Guddy. |

If he is really that bad then he should be getting lit up in Pitts soon too . |

Really?! Beagle just seems like excatly what was advertised. 4th line center, great faceoff guy that can PK. He's done that. You should never pay a 4C what he is getting paid, for sure, but still IMO he's exactly as advertised. I'm much more concerned with Sutter and his second Hernia op, not being able to stay in the lineup than I am with Beagle. |

Panarin would be money but it's a pipe dream. Ferland looks good but his contract will suck. Same as Karlsson. Myers? Ederle has no spine. |

Yes, really.
He's not going up against top lines and is providing next to nothing offensively. He's a decent checker and good on face-offs. Not worth his contract, but a decent useful player, and again I'm judging his contract cap hit and term, not his play this year. In a cap world, you can't just judge players base don their roles, their cap hit and age/contract length matters too.
Not sure what Sutter has to do with looking at Beagle objectively, it's like people saying "at least he's not another LE!". Embarrassingly low bar. |

Not worth the term nor the dollars. Another Benning over-reach at free agency. His pro scouting is a f*cking disaster. The sooner he is fired the better. |
