If it is a 2 year deal it would be a 35+ deal although he doesn't show any signs of slowing down. - MJL
Isn’t he well known for being in tip-top physical condition?

Well to be clear, I do agree, we have no way of knowing. I also agree about being concerned about the last couple of games. Even the most seasoned goalies have off games. How he responds moving forward is far more important in my opinion. I think we have a future star goalie in Hart. - MJL
I think I agree with you both...or at least one of you...maybe? |

My gut tells me Allison stays in school because of his lost year this year recovering from injury.
Laczynski, Ratcliffe and Frost will be the ones to watch in terms of new blood that may challenge for a spot.
Laczynski could easily be Raffl with more upside if they keep him at wing.
Frost has so much upside I want him learning from G as soon as possible. Ratcliffe on the 3rd line wing wouldn't be awful....looks like the sniper we've been hoping for until Allison and Farabee are ready - juiced
Yeah, the depth of the pipeline is impressive but the critics say not enough high end guys. These guys are good but not shoe ins for high end NHLers. At least from some analysts.
Me. I’m a homer. I think they are all going to hit. |

I’ve already had my say, which is just an opinion anyway. However, one important piece no one mentioned was that the organization, other players and Hart himself referenced, he needed to learn how to live independently for the first time. The off ice stuff is part of player development also. He mentioned lots of things he had to learn, forgot to pay his electric bill and lost power. Didn’t know how to balance cooking, laundry and such with his hockey schedule. Apparently, it was a big learning experience for him.

Love it when the Indy car driver gets to chime in. He made a great point in that executing in hockey is just like executing in driving |

Thought Flyers played tonight. Found out tomorrow and Preds playing. OH DEAR LORD,
I just heard THE WORST (frank)ING RENDITION OF OUR NATIONAL ANTHEM EVER🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕. Didn't hear her name. Never sing our song again. Was damn near crickets in there after. In Nashville, how does this happen?Popped this in due to the convo about Lauren Hart. She pissed me off with "her" song. Just (frank)ing sing it the way it was written.
On aside, looking forward to watching Simmer. |

If he had value he would have been traded haha - ClaudeFather
He was not traded because GM didn't want to trade him.
Just look at tomorrows game.We play with Varone,Knight and Bailey and still only 11 forwards with only one winger (Jake) out.
Would have been stupid to weaken your team after a 13-3-1 for a 4th rounder |

ahh, the good ol' play the pens in the 3rd in 4 nights at the end of the season trick, eh?
it's impossible to not root for them to make it given the run they've been on, even if it's been propped up largely by excellent goaltending.
i want pitt and columbus to miss. badly.
i always think back to 2010. got in at game 82 after a SO against lundqvist of all goalies and got within an OT goal of game 7. poop....just get in and see what happens.
plus that's at least 2 months without flyers hockey before the season is finally over. that's a long f'ng offseason. blech. - hammarby31
I can’t stand Pitt and Columbus.
So far Bruins are doing their job. Devils deadlocked with the Jackets. We need the Panthers need to pull an upset. |

Honestly, not sure if I can do it justice.
BiggE is upset at MJL and maybe others and has left along with other posters for another hockey forum, only stopping by occasionally.
Posters had a tell-all about their feelings regarding the board, often singling out MJL in a less than kind manner, others voiced their support for MJL recounting his many positive qualities.
MJL, btw, doesn’t like posters telling other posters what they can say or not say. Nor does he believe, with just reasoning, that we should be airing our complaints on the open hockey discussion board. It was suggested that if you have a personal problem with any of the regular posters, you should PM them instead of discussing it with everyone.
I along with others think PM is the way to go. I have a sneaking suspicion that we might become to tame for some, but let’s give it a go first.
Note: This post is only meant as a summary of today’s discussion and in no way is meant to further the discussion. I could PM you but others that night read may have the same question so I’ll make a one-time exception. |

Thanks!
Sad to hear many of the posters left. I spent much of the past 6 or so years posting on here chatting with everyone and I've too noticed that there are less posters here than usual |

Agreed. I tease a select few but it’s always good natured. If I ever contributed to people not wanting to be around that’s definitely not my intention. |
