I really hate to harp on this but this "core" has to change. Too much inconsistency. Too many winning and losing streaks, or inconsistency between home and road wins, or 5 on 5 vs PP...

Simmonds has been traded so that is one piece changed out... but I would like to see one of Voracek or Ghost traded as well. I just feel like they cut corners during parts of the season and the rest of the team follows suit.

If that is the choice, with the young D in the system, I'll be by to pick up Ghost and drive him to the airport in a minute.

What's more important, Pittsburgh missing the playoffs or the Flyers potentially making them?

I get that. But still, when you see a response like #2, wouldn't you agree that it's someone just looking to start the kind of arguments you were talking about?

Basically, you don't have to agree with someone, but you can do it with a shred of tact and without insulting people. Some people (people, not one person) on here seem to disregard that part.

- jmatchett383

I can see that, but it's in your control to not take the bait if that's what you see it as.

And was very frustrating in the regular season. I don't like that kind of player.

If we could get a large return for ghost then IMO it's just better to keep him as the 7th guy. He isn't going to do much beyond play a few games if someone is injured for a short period of time. Anything more and we can call up Friedman... maybe even Zamula.

Can you imagine a blueline that has Morin 6'6", Myers 6'5", Sanheim 6'4", and Zamula 6'3"? Thats a lot of reach....

- youarewrong

yeah I have been waiting for D with actual reach, last season Flyers had NO reach, just watching SanHeim and Myers is good.

That's for sure. That's almost like saying that offense wasn't Kent Manderville's strong point.

122 games without a goal. How is that even possible?

Of course, that's always the best way to go. The next best way to go if someone ignores that excellent suggestion is to ignore it.

As I've said many times before: you can't control what someone else says, but you can control how you react to it.

Again, I'm not disagreeing with you at all. You just seem very dismissive of the fact when it's one particular individual who comes in with no other intention than to stir the pot. That's all.

I get that he gets ganged up on, but he usually brings it upon himself...maybe not for something done that day, but for repeated past transgressions. If you assume that someone's going to act a certain way towards you based upon the past, you may start to get feisty in return.

It helped me to really think about how different people are. As another poster said, some find it entertaining, others legitimately enjoy being on either side of the discussion/debate. Who am I to say people can’t continue to argue or spectate if they want to.
Everyone, however, has a unique social ethics line that they cannot stand by an let others cross without making a choice to confront or flee. I know I haven’t been nice to folks that cross my line or Trolls. To me, Flyers fans and legitimate posters are like sibling rivalry and their buddies. I just look at Trolls as the class bullies or nasty kid next door.

All I have to say is no GM/Team out there wants Raffl, AMac, and Nuevy for their better players. If we could all just agree on that, I think this forum would be much better off.

Things are looking good for 2019-2020. Interesting to see the pieces that Flecth removes and adds but we have the base for a very good year. Strong finish in the top 3 of the Metro. No more Wildcard for us.

I approach coming in here like I'm in the locker room or hanging out with my buddies. There's going to be some rough language, insults and stupidity. No big deal. Maybe because I'm an older guy (55) I don't get too worked up if someone disagrees with me. I don't like when there's racism, anti-semitism, and misogyny here. When there is I'll lose interest and just go somewhere else for entertainment. But, if someone's just disagreeing with me...no big deal. I'm pretty comfortable with who I am, at this point in my life. If some faceless person, on a hockey blog, says I have a stupid opinion I don't really care. It seems like most here are complaining about MJL. I don't think he and I share political views, but he seems very bright and knowledgeable and I have to admit half the reason I read these comments is to see what he has to say. I don't think he really takes shots at people personally. He criticizes people's opinions, but he seems pretty respectful to me. He's a bull-dog and I know it get's tiresome. He will not concede. Don't enter into debate with him if it bothers you when someone tells you your opinions are wrong or stupid. To me it seems like he just really likes to debate and he's pretty good at it. It doesnt seem personal to me. He, as well as the majority of folks here, seem like pretty decent people with some interesting things to say.

To start the season, yes. You need to see how camp goes, along with Pre Season and then just see what happens. Also, we have no idea what we have in Morin so why wouldn't we start next year with all our guys? If someone is clearly the odd man out, deal with it then.
- ClaudeFather

The rest of this season I would see what I have in Morin. We have seen how well in season hockey moves goes.

Bailey called up too. Hope Jake isn’t out long. He’s been red hot

Wouldn’t mind testing NOPA. He’s taken a lot of damage since CLB game

I honestly believe that the poster your talking about has no idea that he comes off that way. I also think that recently he has started trying to be funny by being insulting like some other people in here do "tongue in cheek" but he comes across super insulting. Like how you call people Richards, but do it jokingly most of the time...
