Things around here are actually a lot better than what they once were. I think if a person takes things too far, you should PM them, to take the heat off the board, because frankly, nobody cares... - SuperSchennBros
I’m on board with this...so if I have offended you and you are not a Troll, please PM me. It is not my intention to be a target of anger or hate, I just want to talk hockey. I have had a poster PM me in the past and it does help to understand why someone feels the way they do.

That's for sure. That's almost like saying that offense wasn't Kent Manderville's strong point.
122 games without a goal. How is that even possible? - jmatchett383
heckuva mucker/grinder though. Manderville, Ranheim, and Hull, the 4th line legal firm. |

I'm not dismissive. I don't like when anyone does it. As someone else mentioned, sometimes things people say when they're being richardish make me laugh, but most times not.
Yup - I understand. That's why there are some folks on my internal "never respond to them" list. It makes my experience here better. - Scoob
I agree with the last portion for sure. I don't even read their posts and, if I do, I don't give them any rebuttal because I don't have the patience for it. It's just sad that some people have felt the need to leave because of the BS that goes on here.
And yes, it goes both ways for sure. |

Or the Flyers thought the his market value at the TDL wasn't worth losing his services for their bleak-yet-alive playoff hopes. |

I never said I agree with MJL. I try to be respectful to everyone here. I just said he doesn’t bother me. He don’t think he personally attacks anyone. The attacks on him seem more personal than anything he says. Anyway he has offered to work it out personally and privately with you. Why not contact him? - Dkos
While I admire the sentiment, I have tried this in the past, and basically got, "It's the internet, I'm not here to make friends," reply. Which is fine, we're all adults here. I just enjoy it when we can all keep our debates can be civil and show a modicrum of tact.
I'm sure that if I met MJL on the street, he and I could be buddies. Heck, we could probably go to a game together and have a good time. I'm sure he's a good dude irl, he just comes across as very holier-than-thou (same can be said about me at times). Like you said, he probably doesn't even realize he does it. Whatever, I just ignore him anymore.
That said, there is a group of others on here who come on daily to antagonize him as well, and both sides end up crying wolf, and that's what really grinds my gears. If you don't like what someone has to say, be an adult and don't read it. |

It would be amazing if ek made a mute poster option so everyone can just mute mjl so it’s less irritating to be on these boards - Richieattack18
See, even if there was a mute option, people would just be banging on the guy anyway, at least for a while.
Or we can all be adults and use our big boy and big girls brains to voluntarily block him by not reading his posts if you feel the need to "block" him. It's like me and any major "news" station. I don't want to watch your news program, so I don't. I don't need to block it from my TV, I just choose not to watch it. I use the same premise here. I see a certain person' posting and scroll to the next post. |

So.....I get to see the Giroux - Coots - Lindblom line in another game since Jake is out. There was some sparks last game, but it was tough to get a solid look with the double-shifting and fill-ins from being short 2 forwards. It might be cool.

Anyone ever see that movie Sleepaway Camp? It seems like run-of-the-mill slasher with a twist ending. Since I already know the twist, should I check it out? |

There is no way to know that players brought up earlier would perform then the way they are now. Speculate all you want but you're just pissing in the wind.
Fighting about it is also just pissing in the wind with the added indignation of the other dude's piss on your shoes, too. - Scoob

I hope your right that the inconsistency can be fixed by the younger players getting better. - youarewrong
with how the youngens are playing it made me think of the future, then I thought of Pitt, then I smiled big. Flyers have more and more kids coming, so many that the odds the Flyers can fill out their bottom 6 internally is real. Then you add what they have in the NHL already, a couple FA's/trades and boom. Then there is Pitt, once you get past Crosby and Malkin there is not much left. Yes they have a few but the cupboard is pretty empty. It will be sad when G is no longer an elite talent, it will be offset because Crosby will also be a lot less than he is now... |

Geez, that ending.
I mean, it’s pretty much known only for that, but WTF. |

I can say 100% with certainty that Raffl will be employed in the NHL next year as a NHL player. - xShoot4WarAmpsx
I would like us to resign him. He does have value.
My point was some of the proposed trades we will argue about. Our expiring contracts/fan whipping boys for a team's better players or prospects.

Some of the proposals on here are TML-esque.
Raffl is a good 4th liner who can slot up temporarily. At $1.25-$1.5M, he's a good value. But if you think he's going to be the centerpiece of a trade for a top-6 forward or top-4 defender, not a chance. |

Favorite current Flyers prospect who has not yet played for the Flyers or Phantoms? Favorite, not necessarily the one with the highest ceiling by position.

He's one of the most popular guys in the room.
Probably smart of Fletch to not move Simmer and Raff out at the same time, especially when the team is mostly feeling good and winning games.
I wouldn't mind bringing him back, as long as it doesn't block the pipeline. - Tomahawk
That's where I am with Raffl. He does good things, but I don't want him blocking the advancement of one of the young kids that deserve it. |

Really excited for frost. Last off season they told him to put on weight, he got up to 185, I think the kid will have another great summer and bring it in camp |
