once they have a suitable contending roster...then they will need to re-stock with cheaper players on ELC's...that is the "Rebuilding in Perpetuity part

this leads to lack of break out passes, odd man rushes, point blank shots from the other team


fix the d, and scoring goes up

and our goalies become above average

I agree.... I just want them to be relevant again. They have all ready wasted 4 years of Eichel and as it stands right now, they are still years away from putting a playoff caliber team on the ice. They have a lot to fix.
