I seem to recall him being referred to as "Swoop" also. Perhaps in reference to the skating style you mention. A buddy of mine in high school had season tickets(his dad owned a restaurant), and I know he called him that all the time. Could swear Petit did on the TV broadcasts as well.

Most likely will come out with a terrible start vs the sabres; that is there usual MO even more so after 3 or more days rest. Other than personal stats not much to play for. I think this team is finished mentally and it will be a struggle to get 10-15 of the remaining 32 pts. Tough schedule to dod it against.

TvR was a good signing too, albeit college and not European. Gustafsson was a free agent signee as was Rutta. There’s also Kampf, he’s been a good addition.

Good additions. I think this is one of Stan's best attributes. More successful than the draft. So-so on trades, with an upward trend.
