My guess is he's a long shot gamble. Checked him on Youtube, some posters will be excited to see he likes to fight and it looks like he does pretty well. - paulr
So, the typical Stan signing. |

Has he ever hit on this type of signing? Well, there was that Panarin guy. Any others? |
|

Wasn't Nesterenko in the bad hockey movie Youngblood? - paulr
Yes. Was also the consultant on the film. I remember him saying that Rob Lowe was the farthest thing from a hockey player he had ever seen. |

Kahun is a good signing. Not Panarin good, but a great addition to what has become the hawks second line. |

Its definitely not Howe.
Eric Nesterenko wore 15 and was called elbows because he was tall and guys just kept running into them. - Elbows15
I seem to recall him being referred to as "Swoop" also. Perhaps in reference to the skating style you mention. A buddy of mine in high school had season tickets(his dad owned a restaurant), and I know he called him that all the time. Could swear Petit did on the TV broadcasts as well. |

Kahun looks like a solid bottom 6.
Delia?
Kempny? Had no success here, but was critical in the Caps 2018 win.
Probably some others? |

Which one, I get lost in them every now and then? Are we in the Stan sucks camp, and can't sign or draft worth a damn? |

I'd say Kempny, too.
There's not many that end up good players that completely escaped the draft. Stan gets at least his share.
But some need to hammer Stan, facts notwithstanding. |

You're right there are so many narratives aren't there? Yeah Bowman sucks and is a dumpster diver. One day we have to go over all the narratives we're supposed to follow. |

Yeah, I'd add him too. Really good shot.
Hahaha, I've noticed. |

Most likely will come out with a terrible start vs the sabres; that is there usual MO even more so after 3 or more days rest. Other than personal stats not much to play for. I think this team is finished mentally and it will be a struggle to get 10-15 of the remaining 32 pts. Tough schedule to dod it against.
yeah they could fall further but the pss poor ducks, nucks, and devils need to play better; thats a tall order - bogiedoc
I have a feeling that the Hawks will frank this up and fall outside the top 6.... just like the Bulls are doing. Win meaningless games and fall outside the top 3 in the NBA draft. |

Apologies Red. I read your post as a shot at him, but my response was directed at the reflective Stan bashers in general. I should have clarified that. |

Yeah that’s my guess too, the worst that can happen is he’ll play with the Hogs. Not a bad signing for either party. Looks like he gets a $92,500 signing bonus each season, so even if he plays in Rockford he’s making $162,500
each season. |

TvR was a good signing too, albeit college and not European. Gustafsson was a free agent signee as was Rutta. There’s also Kampf, he’s been a good addition.
This results for Stan’s college and European free agent signings has been mixed, but there’s been more good than bad. With trading away so many draft picks over the years Stan’s done a good job replenishing the prospect pipelines through other means. |

Agreed! I really liked Rutta when he first played with Forsling. Then an injury and idk what happened. Sad really. Kampf needs to heal quicker...
I think there's been more good than bad also. |

Good additions. I think this is one of Stan's best attributes. More successful than the draft. So-so on trades, with an upward trend. |

OK let me see if I can get them all .....
Bowman sucks
McD meddles
Toews sucks
Wait Toews doesn't suck
Kane is bad for the brand
Seabrook can't train at home
Saad is a bum
ADB is too small
Kruger needs 20 lbs of muscle to be able to score
I know I'm missing some .... |

You're slipping, Pallie.
Crow is average.
Saad is a marketing creation.
TT is too small to play with men.
They'll never succeed with Handzus centering Kane.
Faceoffs are everything.
And my favorite....Dale is why we have 3 Cups. |

Yep, used to read derisive comments about Q's blender. Now you read that JC sucks because he doesn't match up enough.
Keith only cares about himself. |

Strome's slow ass and Murphy is garbage. Throw Cornelison and Chelsea Dagger in there too for the hell of it. |
