I understand your point. Yes, you get to be offended. No one can take away your thoughts. They are, uniquely yours. However, there will always be someone, somewhere who was not the target of what was said, and be offended. I think it is on the bystander to understand that fact, and move on, not create additional social unrest. We are divided because social engineers create victims, and you can have hero’s without victims. Politicians do the same. It is up to us to look past their bullish!t, and respect each other without “someone, somewhere” creating or deciding what is or isn’t offensive. As I mentioned, I personally, am not insensitive to your being upset over use of the term, or any others, but you have to respect he had no intent to be offensive to you. I’m genuinely sorry you’re disabled now at an age much too young for it, and that you are sensitive to certain terms, but again, it wasn’t directed at you, and I ask again....who gets to decide what is and isn’t offensive? Who gets labeled what, and when? The more people buy into the social engineering, and PC bullish!t, the more divided we become, and the identity politics, created victims, and coddled youth become dependent, the further our society erodes. Sometimes life sucks on its own, and sometimes we make poor decisions, but whatever the situation at hand, it’s how we think and react to it that defines us. Don’t let morons try to define you, and divide us. Try to be a little lighter, do what you think is right, support and respect one another, and risk the 425$ fine for telling some divisive, PC, social engineer, to go EFF himself!

I logged on to say this. Didn't back read but I believe the word retard was used. Did you guys know today is "spread the word to end the word" day which bring awareness that the R word is offensive.

Now I hate political correctness. However I adbide by 2 rules. 1. If someone tells me that I am being offensive I stop. 2. If I say gay or retard or whatever and a gay person or special needs person is behind me will I be embarrassed? If so then those words shouldn't be used in public.

Well put. Shows a great deal of common sense and human decency.

Here’s a question: Who decides today was “spread the word to end the word day”? This makes my point. Thank you!

Nice that Myers got his first goal. Missing Simmer...G retrieved the puck...often, in the past, it was Simmonds who did that.

I want to single out a guy who played well, was almost always in the right spot, had many scoring chances, but his one flaw, he just didn’t finish—Lindblom. Put it in the net and he is going to be terrific.

He plays really well with Coots. Then again, Coots makes everyone better. Aside from being first in goals and second in assists and points. Every one seems to perform better with him. G was in a bit of a slump til he was moved back to wing with Coots.

Except when people use the word "gay" they are uing the term to mean "lame" and "retard" for "stupid". Words in the english language always have multiple meanings, which is part of why the language is so complicated. In fact the original meaning of gay was happy. So if the word can be twisted to mean homosexual why cant it be twisted to mean lame? Anything you say can be offensive, it doesnt have to be derogatory. If you call someone an idiot, they are offended. If you say people with glasses are nerds, some people will be offended.

There are times where yea something shouldnt be said but everything right now if someone doesnt like something its automatically offensive and cant be said. You have billions of people in the world everything is going to offensive to someone. I get offended when girls say there are no good guys out or all the good ones are gay there because to me thats saying Im not a good guy and that there is something wrong with me. I dont like it but it is their right to speak their opinion.
