I've been re-watching game highlights from the 2012 playoffs. They had home ice advantage against the NJ Devils and a pretty stacked roster. They had some holes in their bottom d pairing and Bryzgalov in net. They probably should have beaten the Devils that year. They could have made it to the Finals against the Kings. Instead they got out worked and out coached. Bryzgalov let in so many softies. |

How will he get ready or be up to speed without seeing action? Practice does not get you up to game speed. They can't send him down to Lehigh because he would have to clear waivers. The only way to see what you have with Morin is by playing him. - youarewrong
It's a tough injury to come back from. I also think they don't want to chance him sucking now. I think we will see him when the string runs it's course. Guys that get dinged during the season need a few games to get back up to speed when they come back. Takes longer this time of year with teams ramped up for the playoff run. I wanted to see him before now. I'm ok with him not playing while there is a very, very slight hope of the playoffs. |

This feels like one of those "Tom Wilson is gonna do something stupid" games, but to be fair, the potential for that is there in every game Wilson plays. |

I have to get a new jersey now that Simmonds is gone, and I think I'm picking Konecny on the strength of that video. Just a top shelf poop talker. |

My guess is the people wondering about Morin have never had an ACL tear\rupture.
Im 5 years removed from the construction of my ACL due to being checked into the boards from behind and losing an edge.
I'm obviously not a professional athlete but skating wasnt really teh same for me after that and to this day it still isnt.
Morin is under a year from his recovery, im not going to lose my mind if they arent playing him while they are still competing for a playoff spot. |

I forgot that was on. I'm up in North Jersey at the moment, near the water gap. Some how I can't get the Flyer in a t.v. package, like Comcast. There are 4, count them, four (frank)ing MSG channels. I have always used NHL.TV. signed up last week. Took two different phone calls and two hours for them to discover that on NHL.TV they black out the Rags, Devils, Isles and.......... The Flyers. Anybody know another source I can get the game? Tonight's game I get on NBCSN.
EDIT: on a different note, not that far to catch a Phantoms game.

I am not one for a defenseman playing forward.... BUT if there is ever a time to try it out, it would be tonight if Patrick can't go.

I would not do that. He is struggling as it is, it might make matters worse. The positioning, reads and responsibilities are all different. |

That must be a new thing. I'm in your general area. I had NHL.TV last season and watched the Flyers no problem (unless they played NYR, NYI, or NJ - which I watched on MSG). |

When or if the Flyers are mathematically eliminated is when Morin is likely to see game action. |

Kept getting the ,not authorized to watch banner at the top. Could pull up out of town games. Actually in Blairstown which is north of the water gap.
Edit. Don't care how or cost, just want access. |

So just to be clear we aren't playing him because it takes a few games for him to get up to speed, so let's wait until we are mathematically eliminated from the playoffs, which will only really happen about 1 week before the season ends, then he can play but the season ends before he gets up to speed? |

I believe that is the case. Don't see any other reason he isn't playing now. I'd try him now, as a 7th D if that's what it takes. I don't make those decisions though. |

I have Comcast now and bought Center Ice. It's not in HD (thanks Comcast) but it's better than nothing. |

That's what they did with Myers. I think that is likely the best option. Tonight would be a good night since 1-2 forwards are injured. If Ghost can't run on a forward line put MacDonald on the 4th line and get Morin a few minutes on different lines. |

Cable here is service electric broadband cable. My room mate doesn't have hd even cause he is hardly here. Going to get that fixed. My sister in Sussex has Hd so can be had. Going to have to see if the black out center ice for Flyers here. I'm not going to drive 40 minutes to her house to stream games. Although she is a great cook and would feed me.😁 |
