Nord is not compatible with Roku. However, Nord claims that they are compatible with Firestick. I have tried various VPN locations, Onion over, Double VPN and Obfuscated. No luck.

I've had some luck using Nord with nhl.tv on my computer, but would really like to use my 55" 4k screen rather than my laptop.

Well, my "fancy tv" Naples was 55" but not Roku or smart at all. I streamed through the laptop and connected to the tv with an HDMI cable. Worked great.

Was pretty much a whole day of this nonesense last week. Was trying to be lite about it. But retard, special, and all of the other inappropriate comments including, racist, homophobic, misogynistic, and anti-Semitic comments should not really be used on a hockey forum. Shouldn't be used at all. Have worked extensively with autistic children and personally think that it is offensive, inappropriate and really reflects badly on whomever stoops to those levels. To be honest, those are why I rarely post here, although I usually read every thing every day. I don't say anything. I find it offensive and Flag ALL posts containing offensive language.

well hate to break it to you but 4k is useless for nhl because they only stream in 720. but have you considered connecting the laptop to the tv via hdmi?

4k is kind of useless watching most sports, besides maybe some football games. Wish I would have known that earlier. Movies look great though.

I have tried using the cable into the TV. Picture quality is way lower than directly thru Roku or Firestick. If nhl truly does only stream at 720, it's the best 720 i've ever seen. I appreciate the help.

Ancient. Needs to be repurposed as a boat anchor. Thus my question about the VPN. Much cheaper than a new computer.

First, I applaud your work with Autistic children. Clients of mine have two, and I am empathetic to the challenges they face. That being said, I’d like to know who gets to deem certain words unusable. I date a Jewish girl with whom I share Jewish jokes. I share jokes with people of color, and homo jokes with my gay friends. I beat the daylights out of a guy who was menacing a gay friend, and support many initiatives supporting those in need. So just because a term gets used that someone finds offensive doesn’t make it so. What lies in ones heart should be considered when deciding what and where something is offensive. I’ve grown tired of someone, somewhere who gets to decide what is and isn’t offensive. Most reasonable people would never call a developmentally challenged person a retard, as they know it is malicious. I’d be the first to call them out on it and defend the person subjected to such idiocy, but don’t ask me to conform to what “someone, somewhere” thinks is offensive. I’m now offended by the PC crowd. How do you remedy that?

I listened to the “Konecny Mic’d up”, titled that he’s a legend.

In my opinion, nothing he said was legendary. Calling Malkin a nerd isn’t even clever. Konecny just talks a lot.

Well, I get to decide what offends me personally. I'm 63, my father was one of the most offensive persons that I know. That whole generation was bad about that. I played hockey, starting before high school. Played full contact til I was 41. Broke my keg and stopped. Was in the auto industry my whole life. Spent any time in a repair shop? Was a volunteer fire fighter for twenty years. Ever hung out In a fire house? The point is, I have been involved in all the banter, jokes and bad comments for years. Like you, I have gay friends, black friends, Jewish friends. Had an Indian friend and we all talked with accents around him. Got to the point where we had trouble NOT talking like that. So I'm good with screwing around with our friends. Here us the catch. We do that with people we know and love, good naturedly. My ex is Latin. Referred to me as her white cracker. But This in an anonymous hockey forum. No one knows each other. You don't know who is reading and you don't know how one will react when reading these comments here. It's a different situation.
BTW, are you aware that in PA, using the f word in public or giving the finger in public is disorderly conduct. Last I heard it was worth $425 with court costs. The judge doesn't care if you think it is OK.
But This is a hockey forum. Shouldn't contain questionable terms or language. Just my thought. But my thought are my own. This is twice in two weeks this debate has cropped up. Like I said in the earlier post. I rarely post here because of this crap. But rest assured, I read every word, every day. I can due that because I am now 100% disabled. All I can say is post what ever you want. You all do. Just know the flag button is on top of all the posts. I have only twice commented on this. However, I hit the flag button on EVERY POST that offends me. We have mods for a reason. If they agree, enjoy your ban, your welcome.

Agreed, i would never use the word retard to anyone with a disability but i have no issues saying it to people without disabilities. It is supposed to be insulting to someone that doesnt have a disability. Over sensitivity to words is ridiculous. People call me a whop all the time because of my Italian background and i dont give a poop. Words only have meaning if you give them it.

Internet is even dumber because there is no reason to give a poop what people say. Who cares what some idiot behind a keyboard is saying to you? They are nobody. People also need to understand people say these things to upset people purposely and because they arent supposed to. If you tell people not to do something, they are more likely to do it.

Unfortunately typing a word on a screen can’t be measured to be malicious or what the true intent was like you can be hearing what a person says or how they say it.
At what point do the words used to replace a word deemed offensive mean the same thing so now we have to use another word.
Tbh I can’t keep track of all the words and things I’m not supposed to say.
If you treat all people with respect regardless if they are disabled, another race, another religion then one would not have a problem.
Now I am saying that when someone tells me a frog is a turtle because the frog thinks it’s a turtle I call BS. I do believe the frog should be able to defend himself if warranted.
Don’t expect me to accept it or support it but I will respect their choice and go about my life minding my own business.

So out of all that you focus on paragraphs.
Edit: BTW, one of my 5 disabilities that all qualify for a handicapped parking permit is neuropathy. Constant throbbing and burning in my feet and hands. That's interspersed with moments of extreme pain that feels like they are being crushed in a vice. My feet are 100% numb. My hands now 75% numb. Feet and legs cramp badly all the time. My hands are now doing that too. Had to type that "paragraph" with my knuckle when my hands weren't cramping and my finger not pointing in different directions. But I'll try to be better about paragraphs. Thanks for point out the
result of ONE of my disabilities. But what the hell, it's anonymous so nothing matters, right?

Food for thought in the great Seattle expansion draft...who to protect?...who might be the late bloomer or budding star to get nabbed?...in thinking about the Vegas draft, are there lessons to be learned?
