"I loath when records for the Jets 2.0 include Atlanta or Arizona. This is a new team with no connection to those cities and what they did so I wish the pendents stopped doing this. It was a fresh start for Winnipeg so stop tying them to the past."
Might want to check your history. |

Disagree. Most of the players on the Thrashers moved to Winnipeg when the team moved. So essentially they were still the Thrashers but outfitted with new uniforms and a different arena. But essentially the same team.

Vegas didn't start out as an expansion team with cast offs. Vegas got legitimate 2ND line players and guys who ended up being legit 1 st liners. No other team Ever had such an advantage... |

not to defend him (i don't think he's got anything beyond a 6th grade education either) but this kind of blog has to be better than the ones where he's actually giving his own opinions, acting like he knows things/people, and making lies up by the pound.
i mean i'm just guessing by the title. i don't read his blogs. |

I don't. It would be a different conversation if EK did a city by city winning % based on times spent by the NHL in each city. It would be interesting to see the Minnesota NHL winning%, Denver NHL winning%, Winnipeg NHL winning %, New York NHL (Islanders & Rangers included) winning %, Toronto NHL winning %, etc... |

would be more appropriate if you were making playoff winning percentage weighted with Stanley Cup victories. I'm afraid even using those standards the Canucks are still in a dog fight to the bottom with Buffalo and St Louis alltimeš¦ |

Blues are 27-41 (40%) in playoff series, with 3 Finals appearances, and 9 of 50 (18%) playoffs missed.
Sabres are 21-29 (42%) in playoff series with 2 Finals appearances, and 18 of 47 (40%) playoffs missed.
Canucks are 16-27 (37%) in playoff series, with 2 Finals appearances and 20 of 47 (43%) playoffs missed.
Coyotes/Jets are 4-19 (17%) in playoff series, with 0 Finals appearances and 19 of 38 (50%) playoffs missed.
If we ignore teams who have won the Cup, or only existed since the 90s; Jets/Coyotes are far and away the worst. Canucks second worst, but it's not that close. |

They shouldn't have. Teams should have been able to protect all of these players. Not to say they shouldn't have been able to get some legit 2nd line players that were playing lower on deep teams, but a lot of GM's messed up this expansion for themselves, not really that Vegas was given a gift by the process.
Think Seattle will be able to replicate similar success? |

Wow, tough crowd there Ek... I was a little surprised the Wild fell in the 6th overall spot. |

Original 6 is BS. The league started with 4 teams. And why are the golden seals included but no mention of the NY Americans or Montreal Maroons? |

Most of that isn't because of who they drafted though. It was the trades with morons that got them those pieces. |

This might seem relevant to anyone who just completed Grade 2 math but Eklund just wasted x amount of time with this useless article. - zt0808
Just wait until Ek's Buzztron projections return. More flawed math than Tanner's random BS analytics. |

He still does want to be the Man. But the worst blog was the one where Ek posted what players would look like as women. The Matthews one turned Augello on but to each their own. |
