I think you play your best against their best. Win or lose. Two ways to look at it. Need Price to beat Anaheim or you don't belong there if Niemi can't beat Anaheim. I think Price makes it closer against the Sharks...but now they're really against the wall if they lose.

the move might have backfired given how well Montreal played and how particularly bad Niemi was those first 10 minutes.

well of course but against the Ducks, it's possible to overcome poopty goaltending.
anyhow i was full in favour of starting Niemi last night. but i just thought Montreal was going to get run out of the rink. i didn't expect such a solid performance.
