That's five 50 goal seasons (or do the math with less goals over more seasons)and he's no spring chicken.
It would be cool to see though. - seedy
Adam Oates cost him probably 20 goals with the whole "righties play RW" bullpoop. |

Neither have I, but that might be because I haven't been watching. |

His PPG went from 1.20 to 1.15 in less then a week. Tied with some bum named Jack Eichel. Except Jack has 1/3 the talent and coaching staff to work with |

Leafs have a 4th line of Moore-Petan-Ennis going tonight. Average height of 5’9 and I don’t believe any are defensive specialists. Very interesting choice by babs. Thought it was interesting given the talk of 4th lines recently on our blog. |

His best stretch of hockey here was in 2012 when he was moved to center, albeit out of necessity. It still boggles my mind why Ruff never stuck with that. |

You're a kiss ass to someone who will never read this slop. This team hasn't had a serious hockey dept since Scotty Bowman. After the Knox's sold this team it's been nothing but a mess.
Why? why is it a hot mess? Because ownership's ability to attract the right people. When that happens they have to settle on people who have some experience but not enough experience. Just our trade record alone is proof enough.
If the Pegula's really are fans of the Sabres they'd get their heads out of their business ass's and hire real hockey people with WINNING RECORDS. Wow wee so you hired Housley who sucks. Botts still should be an assistant g.m..
The biggest impression they can make on the fans is to ice a competitive team of winner mentality instead of stroking our clocks with the likes of old Sabres who never won anything. |

I blame all Sabres fans.
But specifically Sabres fans who frequent Hockeybuzz.
And for that, I feel like Pachyderm must shoulder a lot of the blame. - Atomic Wedgie Get your british wannbe ass back to new britain(canada).

The Leafs also don’t play defense
And while they have enough offense to win a lot of games in the regular season,
there’s a reason they lose in round 1 every year
Now if you’re trying to equate it to us,
that’s frankly ridiculous
1) they have enough offensive talent to outscore other teams- we don’t
2) they have Tavares & Kadri, who are both very good 2way centers- so they don’t need to depend on their 4th line to play that role
Their team is set up completely different than ours
Idk what to tell ya if u don’t see that |

Is this the Edmonton blog ? But even in saying that with the right management in place they are right up there with Winnipeg, Nashville, Calgary in two years tops.
There are the bottom feeders, mediocrity, and the cup contenders. Some mediocre teams break through to the cup contender status (See San Jose) but mostly stay mired in mediocrity before finally admitting they need to rebuild and become a bottom feeder.
Cup contenders contend for different amounts of time depending on the composition of the roster and the youth. Some contend longer then others before their time is up and they enter the bottom feeder rebuilding phase (see Chicago and LA currently)
Then the bottom feeders who everyone laughs at draft high consistently and grow a base of talent. They suddenly become the cup contenders while the mediocre teams are stuck spinning their tires in mediocrity (See Toronto, Calgary, Winnipeg).
Everyone can laugh all they want about Buffalo, Edmonton, Vancouver, Arizona but with the right management, Patience, and surrounding the core young guys with vets that can play they will soon become the teams everyone in the league fears. - Pegullaville
Great points but (frank) patience, we've given enough of our labor to support millionaires who have no pride. I still believe Jacks the prob.

No , I'm like every other Sabres fan, Way tired of losing, way tired of watching every junior gm get their big chance in the 716 just to ruin the team and continually set it back.
Maybe you like mediocre which would be an improvement for this team, but I don't. My money's earned off the sweat of my labor just to afford a game or two in person I don't want to see a team that runs like a car with a flat tire.

1) Botts was seen league-wide as an up & coming GM and experts pretty much all applauded the choice
2) i don’t like mediocre, but whining about it on a message board isn’t gonna solve anything
3) YOU CHOOSE to go spend your $$$ even though u aren’t happy with what’s going on?
Well that’s on YOU |
