They aren't fighting for a playoff spot no matter which way you want to spin it. They'll have to leapfrog 5 teams and make up 10 points.

They are a shade better than last season, based mostly on goaltending.

The problem is, the GM keeps treating the team like they're a piece or two away.

- golfingsince

I didnt spin it. You are rewriting. I am talking about the position they are in. They are fighting for a draft pick in reality but are you going to tell me that they were never in reach? They have been for 3/4 of the games played now. That is a step forward in my opinion.

You can probably start by looking in the mirror. I mean you just suggested they're playing for a playoff spot.

Maybe... but they were beating the best and hottest teams in the first half of the season east and west. Acknowledging stuff like that gets you mocked in here though... then the rewrite on it goes the other way as usual.

You mean the first half of the season that had them 1 game over 500?

Yes. Who is expecting them to be more than that? How many people thought they would be at the bottom all season? A huge group in here.

What is this BS about same results? The Canucks still playing for a playoff spot in March regardless of them falling is a big step forward. Drafted players are filling spots on the roster and some look promising. Step forward.

Who ever promised you a smooth perfect rebuild with no set backs and nothing but success is an idiot.

It was only just over a month ago that you were arguing improvements. Now you are pretending the flip floppers are the ones who were contents with with playoffs or a high pick are the guilty party. As long as this team moves forward is all they wanted.

The group who called worse season in history changed their tune more than once this season.

Nah, you said it. No need to re-write it.

It can't possibly be a mistake as you keep telling us how smart you are.

What ever... I explained what I meant 3 times now. It is in context with everything else that I said. Choose your narrative. Where did I mention how smart I was? Have you tried debating anything or are you just going to focus on avoiding the actual discussion and going to troll instead?

They were a game over .500 last year middle of december, poopty teams tend to get exposed during the 2nd half when playoff teams make their push.

If that dumbass spends $700 on a game of golf, he can certainly afford $50-$100 on dinner for us..

I'm surprised that the injuries didnt do that to them this season. Some of our youngsters stepped up big time to prevent the erly end to the season. I know I'll get mocked for it but Horvat, Petey, and a couple of others showed what they are capable of and it should only improve with these kids.

This is a poopty team still. Improving in the area of future players. Moving forward but until we dump all these injury prone players.... .500 may be the ceiling and certainly holding back the bigger steps forward along with the better players on the Canucks.

Here we go with the personal attacks. Fist its the soft attacks... before long they will become more and more personal. Eventually you'll go way over the line.

I just finished telling you to pump the brakes. You should know better. You dont have any control on how far you'll go.

- boonerbuck

It was not an attack. All your posts have a tendency to sound like a cryptic 'I told you so'. My comment was just a humorous way of pointing out a flaw in your personality, like a comic intervention.

Exactly what we've been saying all along. So why do we keep applying band aids?

Certainly one or two of those traded picks would have brought us a young player about to make the jump to the big squad.

This whole thread is full of the "I told you so" crap. Amazing... they I told you so crowd is all over me and you think I'm in their face with I told you so? How do you get it backwards so consistently?

Yes, I do post like that. But this group does it in every direction constantly so its really moot isnt it. You have eyes for my posts when this poop starts and always have.

What are you talking about?

This team needs to dump more old regime players and certainly the new contracts that suck. I have acknowledged so many things that the narrative monkeys are omitting. Its turned into a troll fest not a conversation.
