Hard to say if he's injured or not I would think if it was serious enough they would take him out of the lineup, hopefully if anything its just the grind and minor wear and tear of the season that is the problem. I hope its nothing to do with the surgeries that he had in the offseason last year. - FlamesFan1230
Last year they didn't shut him down and until they were way out of the race and he had 3-4 injuries. |

The last two games were a perfect example of why it's so stupid to look at save% on a game to game basis. Rittich wasn't any better/worse in either of his last two games. He made 36 saves last night, but the majority were shot right at him and there wasn't any weirdness that ruined his Toronto game.
The biggest disappointment with Rittich from last night is that he didn't have a go with Fleury. He's trying to cultivate this persona of a super intense, borderline crazy goalie, but then he ignores that?
As usual, the Flames look better during their losing streaks than they do during their winning streaks. There were a lot more minor problems going on during the seven game win streak than in the last three.
Pretty confident after last night that the Flames should beat the Knights in a seven game series, but that would have to be round two. It's still pretty much impossible for the Flames not to win the West. - Hunkulese
Care to explain? Flames are dropping and sharks are rising. |

I know but we don't even know if he is injured or not, it is all speculation for now, on another note has anyone tried that Original Joes spicy crispy chicken burger? The ad keeps coming up it and its making hungry as hell. |

Flames aren't dropping. They lost three in a row. They could easily, and probably should, win their next four. They have a much easier schedule than the Sharks the rest of the way.
Even though this is their worst losing streak of the season, they've looked pretty good in all three games. The top line is looking much better. They weren't creating anything for a while. Now, they're creating stuff but just a tad out of sync.
For the Sharks to catch the Flames, either the Flames completely collapse or the Sharks win like 90% of their remaining games. I don't see either happening. |

I mentioned after the loss against TO that I could not remember the first line scoring a goal at 5v5 since before the all star break.
Someone replied back, that since the end of January both Lindholm and Monohan had 5 goals 5v5 between the 2 of them.
Something is up and to me its Monahan. The top line have gotten some points but almost all of them on the power play, or like Hamonics goal last night that came a couple seconds after a pp had finished.
I do not expect the top line to be as hot as it was in October-Nov-Dec but man are they underproducing as of late.
They are the spoon that stirs the drink, and it will be a short post season if they do not start scoring. |

Then it’s a good thing they have another 15-16 games left to sort it out. |

Why does everyone keep saying that? Their "tougher" schedule is against wildcard teams while the flames are playing teams that are 2-3 points Lower in standings. No difference.
And the Sharks are 1.5 games behind yet need to win 90% of 15 games left? Really think flames will win 12-13 of the final 15?
I'm very confused about you. You claim hell is here when flames are riding high then suddenly become idealistic when they're low. |

You are the Fukien turd. every team in the nhl wants a tkachuk on their team! Don’t be bitter cuz your team is crappy at drafting. You don’t know how team sports work so go back to swimming or tennis. Or some other individual sport to watch. Dork!! |

The Flames will be clear favourites in all but two of the rest of their games, why wouldn't you think they'd win 12-13 of them? The Flames are also against a bunch of teams with nothing to play for while the Sharks are against teams fighting for the playoffs.
Clearly, you're confused. I've been the biggest Flames' booster on here for the last two years. My opinion's never changed. Say one critical thing that the team needs to fix though and the idiots on here lose their minds.

Watching the Oilers play is EXACTLY like watching an individual sport.
Here is the play by play from their last game:
97 on a two on zero, passes to 97, 97 shoots... and misses! 97 is really hustling back down ice, and makes a miraculous toe save, sending the puck into the first row. On the ensuing faceoff, 97 wins it back to... 97...
Oilers suck. |

1st line points since the start of February....16 games.
JG
5v5 goals - 0
5v5 assists - 5, (1 assist coming 2 seconds after pp ended, 1 from a Backlund goal)
PP goals - 1
PP assists - 2
PPG - .56
SM
5v5 goals - 3 (one a couple seconds after pp ended)
5v5 assists - 3
PP goals - 0
PP asisists - 5
PPG - 0.68
EL
5V5 goals - 3
5v5 assists - 5 (2 when playing with Backlund)
PP goals - 2
PP assists - 0
PPG - 0.62
Summary of the top line
5v5 goals - 6
5v5 assists - 18
PP goals - 3
PP assists - 7
Between the three of them that is 24 goals and 10 assists in 16 games. 6 goals at even strength in 16 games is pretty weak.
If something is not "off" then I gotta go find my crack pipe.
My numbers might be a little "off" but not by much. I did this old school with pen and paper. I am sure there are some fancy stat sites that could have made this a lot easier.
In the end this line either has injuries or really needs to find their poop. |

Johnny always plays better when he’s mad and has a chip on his shoulder.
He took a hip check around the 4:30 mark in the third, nowhere near the puck that went uncalled, and and got cross checked badly again nowhere near the puck with 5 seconds to go in the third.
Look for Johnny to explode tonight, at least that’s what I’m thinking. |

The best way to shut down the flames is to challenge every goal.
It’s another year and I still have no clue what counts as goaltender interference. |
