If I'm Art Rooney, I'm not too keen on giving a guy 60M+ to sit and rot the next 3 years. - TheSabresTaco
He won’t have to pay him a dime as AB doesn’t want to play there either. He’s not showing up to camp and will be a holdout. Holdouts don’t get paychecks. |

The NBA is in the best shape of its life.
They are doing fine.
Also yea, screw NFL players for wanting to have a bit of say where they play and live. - ImThatGuy
The top teams are, sure. what happens when half or more of the league simply cannot compete? how about more players pulling AD stunts and just straight quitting on their teams? If players want a say, start your own league or wait until free agency. Until then, you're an employee. I guess you just want to see 10 team leagues in cities like NY, Miami, L.A., etc. That's dumb. |

I slept through the Antonio Brown thing
All this looks like is Brown trying to force the Steelers hands and release him so he can sign with whomever he wants.
Glad McBeane made the calls. It also means that the culture thing is only a front to get players to buy in and then bring in talent.
Go OL in FA (2 of them) draft Metcalf
Draft a TE
Draft defensive depth

Or teams like Milwaukee, Indiana, OK City, Toronto, Philly, Denver.
All teams who are good that were built through the draft.

Until their "stars" want to leave and you're like, hey they should be able to leave. You can't have it both ways, fella. |

I am so against this guy. No idea how he'll turn out, but as an actual receiver he's extremely flawed.
This guy screams Cordarrelle Patterson to me. |

You sure? I am pretty sure he is due 7-8 million and they asked him if they could hold off until after he is traded... |

He had one of the worst drop rates over the last two years in college football.
If his body fat % is actually true he is going to get injured the first hit he takes. He has nothing protecting his ligaments, joints, etc. |

I'm putting internet points down he drops out of top 15. What makes you think this guy is suddenly going to catch more in a harder league. |

That’s cap implications.
He is due a 2.5 mil roster bonus and that is the last of his guaranteed money.
When he restructured in 2017 ($68 mil) he got a $19 mil signing bonus and a $6 roster bonus (for 2018) and a $2.5 roster bonus (for 2019). That’s it for guaranteed money.

The Steelers actually make out better if they wait until June 1st to trade or cut him. |

I'm still scorned that the Sabres didn't draft Debrincat. I was probably the only person in Buffalo who thought we should have taken him with that pick.
Nylander and Asplund tho amirite - BeadyEyedDouche
loved debrincat. thought we should've gotten duclair and debrincat. Cheap acquisitions. |

N’Keal Harry should be the target if they’re thinking wideout. Either move back a couple of times and get him in the 18-22 range or try to get back into the 1st. |

I'm not ready to provide armchair GM predictions until free agency all but wraps up. Seeing what holes they fill in UFA and maybe even trade could be telling on what they decide to do with the pick. There's so many talented linemen in the first round, but I think you have to wonder if he can exceed the value of a single lineman if he can snag a 2nd round pick and move down maybe 10 spots. |

Spot on, moving back a number of spots to grab another 2nd should be the go to strategy given the number of holes they have to fill along with where quality players will be available to fill a couple of their pressing needs.
For that to happen, IMO they will need either:
a) an attractive prospect to fall down to 9, or
b) a team desperate for a QB who wants to get in front of Denver.
Now if McBean trades back, the question of why they didn't stay put to draft BPA should be asked...seems to me trading back conflicts with the BPA strategy. |

Their BPA could be a guy they can get a few picks back and pick up some capital in the process. |
