I have noticed Jack shooting a bit more, not giving those juicy set-ups 2-3 times a game as much...wonder if he is in an internal competition...or if he has a bonus for 30 Goals his ownself.

I think it appears like he's shooting more because for a big chunk of the season he had an absurd 4.7 S%. He doesn't anymore. He was always shooting a lot, and apparently he was shooting higher danger shots than he had in years prior. If he didn't have such bad puck luck early on, he'd have quite a bit more points (or at least goals).

It's all preference. I still use standard gp tour velvets. Some guys like cord and all the new 'tech'. To each his own. Just keep them fresh and you'll be good to go.

Instead of admiring the fact that the guy still had over a PPG stats with a 4.7% shooting percentage the fan base trashed him for his lack of goals.

Saturday morning prospects update

Brett Murray (4th rd 2016) is 2nd in scoring in the USHL. In 48 games he has 33+28 for 61 points. He's committed to Miami University next year. He leads the USHL in goals.

Linus Weisbbach (7th rd 2017) has been on a tear for Wisconsin since he has come back from his injury. In just 25 games this year he has 7+17 for 24 points. Wisconsin is 6-0-1 when he scores and are 10-4-1 when he registers a point. They are 3-12-4 when he doesn't score.

Linus Cronholm (4th rd 2-018) was recalled to Malmo (SHL) from his Swedish 2nd league team. From what I gather, he has been very impressive in that league and has developed ahead of pace. He recorded an assist in his first game for Malmo.

6K set a Sudbury record for wins by a goaltender and has 35 now on the season to go with a 2.50 and .919.

Jacob Bryson(4th rd 2017)- co-captain at Providence, has 4-20 for 24 in 36 games. Providence is ranked 8th in the country.

Mattias Samuelsson (2nd rd 2018)- 5goals and 7 assists in 31 games in his freshman season at Western Michigan.

Marcus Davidsson (2nd rd 2017) has 8+17 for 25 points in 49 games in SHL.

Oskari Laaksonen (3rd 2017) has 3+19 for 22 points in 44 games for Ilves

I used to check in on Kris Baker's Sabres Prospects website, but he no longer keeps that current...and his stuff on The Athletjc is very scarce...which sucks as I liked his insights.
