The Sabres have been unusually healthy this year, leading to relatively fewer call ups during the season. I hope the team enjoys such fortune when it's finally good again in the near future.

After Bylsma, players said they wanted a coach that would be nicer to them; ask how they were doing and not yell at them or say mean things.

They were given their wish and DB was sent packing and the players all sounded thrilled about Phil. He wasn't gonna say critical things in the media or yell or scream. Good for them that Housley has made this season as comfortable for them as possible.

We seem to go through it every year.

He has that great physical game against Ovi or scores a beautiful goal, then it’s 10 games of icing the puck and taking penalties

I don't usually play the low hockey IQ card. It's generally just something to say when you want to sound smart and someone made a mistake. When it comes to Risto, I don't know how you can't go there. His ability is off the charts and his glaring mistakes aren't a result of some overly complex defensive assignments.
