Like I said earlier there is no point trying to convince you. If you'd like I could cloud up the thread with links and 'facts' but what would that prove? Your mind is made up as is mine. Best just to move on. - LordHumungous
I think making one post with actual citations and proof of your claims isn't going to clog up the thread that's already spilling on to page three about this.
As well, it seems as if you actually don't have any reliable scientific evidence to back up what you've said, so are just trying to cut things off. I'm more than happy to read what you have from science-based sites!
without pettersson, there is no chance he survives this season. he'll need hughes and a 1st round hit to secure his position past next season imo.
most saw benning as a bridge gm that would be around to crater the team and start the rebuild.
it's 5 years later. - RealityChecker
I'm getting more and more on the new GM train. I still think they're going to just transition Benning up to President, so he can just oversee everything without having to make decisions. Can just be the ultimate scout at that point.
Didn’t watch the game, much better things to do, but two things I want to know after reading the post game in CA. 1) what was the passive-aggressive interview with Dan Murphy and Mark Spector in the first intermission all about? 2) who was the oilers dman who skated by the net leaving Beagle all alone to gently push the puck over the line? That was Pouillot like!

i could see this.
if benning has set up the scouting department correctly and with brackett leading it, i honestly don't want benning around.
i don't trust his pro scouting decisions. i don't like his cap management. i don't like his view of the team (for the past 5 seasons).
i just don't want him around even as a president.
as long as the team interviews a number of different people with different ideas, i think they'll be fine.

So wait, he doesnt scout kids it’s brackett, but he does scout pros? All of these things are done by committee with JB having the final say. Since his first two deals he’s been fine. Haters want to hate but this core that has already started to arrive is JB. Just like the last one was Burke.

it's been 5 years of bottom finishes.
it doesn't take a drafting guru to develop a few pieces of a new core when you have top 5 picks in most rounds every year.

I think you missed the point. It doesn't matter what I 'prove' you aren't going to understand it or get it. So cutting things off is the way to go. I can't change your mind even with facts so ending again there is no point. Just like you can't change my mind so lets move on.
