shut up

I’d rather see what Mac and Kero can do. We already know that Schaller and Granlund suck donkey balls.

Utica could use some help. 3 game losing streak and 4-5-1 in the last 10. Might miss the playoffs all together.

Canucks are going to pay between 16 to 18 mil for three under preforming players in Edler Hutton and Boeser . That will leave them with about half their cap space and still need to re-sign 6 other RFAs .

That will leave them with about 10-12 mil to go out and fix the real problems.

Hutton is -20 and a 20 pt player that will want around 4 mil. Sautner who is a 800 K player who makes a lot less errors. . I keep throwing Benns name out as an example has more points than Hutton would cost less (at least half) and bring some toughness.

With the current roster we keep finishing around 5 th or 6 th from the bottom. It is time to either move forward or backwards , and make improvements or get better picks.

You’ve convinced me. Hutton’s toast.

Boeser has underperformed

Don’t look at only the points, evaluate the entire player, he has a lot of holes in his game.

If he was more complete, he’d command even more money. You gotta pay for goals.

Waive Schaller already and give ZacMac a look in the 4th line. Vantel talks about the fans not wanting to move on, how about the guys with actual authority being afraid to give a kid who’s earned it, a look down the stretch of a non-playoff season?

Not like Schaller will get claimed, he might even get some confidence back if he scores down there.

Pouliot Eriksson and Schaller should be removed off the team. Problem is we don't have replacements.

Lol.
I can just see you sitting in your bachelor pad, drinking a scotch, and laughing out loud at the tv when you see that footage.

The image is vivid.

So true. I’ve done a few facepalms watching him play this year. Let’s see what happens next season.

True, and to qualify my stance I really like Boeser. It was neem laughing at the underperforming comment, which I believe he is.

I also agree with Vantel, give him a bridge deal and let him improve into a real powerhouse then give him his payday.

But he’s imrpoved defensively on last year Mak?! He’s had a lot of injury adversity too. He was worse defensively last year, no one wants to point out the flaws in the shiny new toy. He’s a kid that has to learm the NHL level of game. Is anyone shocked?! Ep does too, and is not good a D! QH will similarly struggle adjusting

Coles notes:

Steller sea lion populations threatened due to environmental change. Ocean temperature changes so food source disappears.
Sea lion forced to find other means of getting nutritional requirement.
Commercial fishing practices provide a concentrated food source with little energy spent obtaining it.
Fishermen must protect their ever shrinking catches so they use a shock technique to scare the animal away long enough to secure catch.
Public concerned that the shock tactic will harm the animal.

My opinion is it won’t harm the animal in the least.

I was on icebreaker in the Arctic, on one ice flow was dozens of walruses with two of them in a bloody fight for the last spot, blood everywhere, talk about violent and awesome to witness. On an adjacent ice flow was a huge polar bear, obviously waiting patiently for the loser.

in my mind, the bear waits for the winner... kills him... and then does this.

And there it is right there, there is nothing wrong with evaluating every player regardless of who they are. You are right about Pettersson also, but at least he tries hard to get back and defend, he just bounces off the opponent or sprawls on ice trying to knock the puck loose. Boeser is still at centre ice skating in quicksand.

When he hits that level pay him. He is not there yet. He has a lot of negative issues with his game.

He is a RFA with no mediator rights. Give him his 5 mil x3

Maybe. I could see either scenario backfiring where he wants/deserves way more after a bridge deal. At the end of last season we all said pasta money. Now we have a opportunity to sign him cheaper long-term. For me that’s the way to do go rather than risk having to pay a max contract in three years.

Well in three years Eriksson Beagle Edler Sutter Tanev and Roussel will all be off the books.

I would believe Canucks should have a few ELC by then and yes I know Pattersson and Hughes will be up for a raise.

Shotgun Saturday? Here's hoping.

Jake Virtanen returns for the Canucks against Vegas tonight, while Quinn Hughes and the Michigan Wolverines will be fighting for their playoff lives in Minnesota starting at 2 p.m. this afternoon.

I'd rather not have a second 10 million+ guy. If Boeser is as good as I think he is based on last year, would be a mistake not to lock him up for 6 at 7mil
