Thank you all!

Both in my music and sports jobs, my main goal has been to be accepted as an equal, where gender is largely irrelevant. I also aim to be a woman who supports other women as representation in both industries slowly increases.

Support from men is important, too. Thanks to Ek for giving me this opportunity, and to you all for hanging out and reading my ramblings for the past six seasons!

On that point, I do hope that Benning is cognizant of not playing Hughes over the nine game threshold, thereby potentially exposing him to the Seattle expansion draft. Knowing Jim, I fear that Benning might miss that detail, and stuff.

i know this was a super lame attempt at trying to be funny, but in my experience, i have played in a few tournaments where woman weren't given the key to change in the referee locker room, and in both cases (different teams), had a couple men hold up large towels on either side while the women geared up and geared down.

That he does.

I always find this funny. In the context of playing at the NHL level? Yes, he's not very good. If he played a pickup game with anyone here, he would be head and shoulders above us all

Always reminds me of the times people play pickup hockey with some guy who scraped it as a fourth liner, and he's out there dangling and sniping. Dale freakin' Weisse.

50 year old ex WHL'ers who play beer league are still better than 3/4 of the entire league that they play in lol. It shouldn't take a rocket scientist for anyone to understand that if anyone says someone sucks at hockey in this blog, its primarily in reference to them at the NHL level....

there isn't a poster in here who could keep up with a junior B hockey player, and I would put money on that.

Again, Saying Derick Pouliot sucks, and then having someone rush to his defense to say "well he could still run circles around you" is a given. Lets not get too caught up in Pouliots feelings regarding what we say about him at the NHL level, and lets not need to re-inforce the clarity, that opinions about players at the NHL level, are in reference to them in the league that they play in, and not in the sport in general lol...

In the context of playing at the NHL is what we are discussing. We weren't talking about him playing anywhere else.

Personally I would never say someone sucks or he is garbage because I know a lot of it is mental and confidence, that's just me and my observations from being around good hockey players and listening to them.

Comparing Pouliot directly to an "AHL" defenseman in Brisebois, I wonder if Pouliot could even hack it at the AHL. A giveaway machine with overhyped offense.

wasn't referencing you in particular. I know of all people, you and I share similar opinions regarding player's feelings lol, and i know referencing other poster's by name seems to lead into bigger debates and debacles than what this thread needs.

Maybe, instead of trampling on poor Derrick's feelings, you could say:

"Derrick Pouliot, when compared to other NHL players, is an abjectly pathetic excuse for a hockey player, whose mind-numbingly stupid play is an insult to the league and all life on Earth."

Disclaimer: This is in no way a reflection on Derrick Pouliot as a human being, or cisgendered non binary being.

Let’s
Just all agree that Pouliot needs to be fired into the sun and focus on what’s important. The draft and the picnic
