Not gonna lie. I enjoyed watching Nick Baptiste last year when he was with Buffalo. He was definitely noticeable against the Leafs.

Watched the Hollowell clip and he reminds me of Dermott. And that would be a very good thing. After years of atrocious drafting, looks like we've hit a few home runs lately. Defence may just improve from within. At least till we get over the cap hump next year.

I didn't realize that the Habs lost 8-2 against the Ducks last night.

So when I saw that, I immediately went to go see what Antti Niemi's numbers looked like, but it turns out that it was actually Carey Price in net, hoooweee 21 saves on 29 shots .

So then while I'm on NHL.com, I also noticed that the Jets also basically pinned down their opponent and pooped on their collective foreheads, having won 8-1 against Carolina. Well the overdrive guys were talking about how Curtis McElhinney's numbers were unreal this year, and so I thought it couldn't possibly be him in net, could it?

Lo and behold, his numbers were identical to Carey Price's.

The moral of the story is, even when Sparksy sucks, he doesn't let in 8.

Honestly, I feel a bit for Dallas Eakins. He's been an excellent coach at the AHL level, and then he gets a shot at NHL and it's with the most dysfunctional (frank)ing franchise not named Ottawa. Remember the press freak-out when he stopped the doughnuts and replaced them with fresh fruit?
