How come when I told you that’s what would happen with Olofsson you acted like I was crazy? - sbroads24
Don't get me wrong, I'm still excited to see Nylander, and I really want to see Olofsson. Also, I agreed with you that Housley would probably do that. It's the wrong move of course, but Housley gonna Housley.
Larsson centering Mittelstadt broke me. Housley is in outer space |

I dunno man. He's still scrappy every night and was one of the first in to defend Eichel after the late hit. This tells me he is still emotionally engaged with this team. Casey Nelson on the other hand is dead to me. He pulled a Gaustad yesterday. - The_Inkwell
Casey Nelson should be cut.
Seriously, after playing hockey his entire life, he had to understand that the "star" was just hit hard.
He just coasted in for a hug.
What a spineless player.
No need for him around here any longer |

Two acquired by trade, and another whom you’ve wanted to get rid of via trade for 9 of the last 12 months.
And our recent 8th overall is your current hate fest, along with an earlier 3rd overall.
See how easy this is? |

Nylander is the only player selected in the top 12 players in that draft not making an impact on their respective team. If we have selected McAvoy or Sergachev you’d be singing a different tune. |

I do, our best players by a mile we’re top draft choices.
Like most good teams out there.
The difference is we have yet to nail mid-late rounders to fill out our roster or make an impact
We have our Stamkos/Hedman. We never found our Point/Kucherov |

There are more dud picks in the 2d round than in the first. I advocate for the use of picks to acquire young promising players like Montour. That’s the way to acquire players and - at the same time - not signal to our young stars that as good as they are, we don’t have confidence in them. |

The year before we drafted Nylander was the year we added Kane, O’Reilly, and Lehner with our draft capital/prospects that was supposed to be the depth behind Eichel/Sam for years to come.
Suffice to say that adding talent via trade isn’t a guarantee of a dramatic improvement either and with poor management you can also screw up the consolation top 10 pick you get for sucking. |

Trading for ROR set this team back 5 years. Could of had Laine/Matthews/Dubois/Tkchuck but our sprint to 8th last is what Tim Murray had in the cards for us. Cart before the horse. Thank you GMTM your services will be missed. At least Botts let the team self implode so we could at least have Dahlin to salvage for our misfortunes. |

Now people lose their minds that we lost the ROR trade but if we pick top 10 we win the trade by a landslide. If we have ROR we are in a sprint for mediocrity and finish just outside the playoffs. I’ll take the two top 20 picks and the cap space. I hope Thompson can figure it out as he was always a raw prospect to begin with. |

Why are people not acknowledging what a p*ssy move by Casey nelson?
Before the season I was worried about our stars being crushed and not having enough toughness.
Its exactly what's happening.

Casey Nelson isn’t significant enough for me to care. Another replacement level player that although would be a serviceable 6th or 7th d-man he’s just another guy. |

Probably dont care because it doesn't have anything to do with rooting for the Sabres to lose?

Scandella jumped in and Reinhart went after him too. Eichel finished the game and was just fine. If Casey Nelson tombstones Zadorov it doesn’t change what happens today or the rest of the season and doesn’t change what’s taken place the last two months. |

Hypothetically:
If that was the first time our superstar got cheap shotted right in front of Nelson, you think he deserves a mulligan?
Plays like that and gaustad cant be coached.
Guys thru out the league play with emotion and would have ripped zadarov's head off.
What's stopping the next guy from doing the same thing?
A Casey Nelson hug or the 2 minute minor?
It's the same story.
