I don’t see how he’d be available anymore after this season.
It would take more than 55 to get it done - sbroads24
It would, and I'm all for it. |

Jack got hit dirty. Jack has had long, losing seasons and long, losing seasons. I can understand the kind of frustration that would lead to that hit.
But it was dirty and deserves a suspension. - Der Kaiser
sorry I don't agree... if you look at the video closely he doesn't make contact except on his back shoulder.... but we can disagree

I watched the game with my dad. I thought it was clearly a hit to the head, and my dad (not usually a homer) didn't think Eichel hit his head at all

I don’t think it matters what part of Jacks body hit Soderberg. If Jack initiates the contact (I don’t think there’s a controversy whether he did) and he hits Soderberg in the head ( dot dot dot) then he should be suspended.
I think it’s pretty clear he hit him in the head. Others have said his “face.” I guess you could debate it though. |

I don't know enough about Florida's needs to answer that. |

If Eichel hits 82 points, while missing basically 7 games it makes him a 90 point player this year. Pretty, pretty good |

Montour
Bogo
Nelson
Or possibly give Anton Stralman a 2-3 year deal
Or even.......Tyler Myers |

I'm down for bringing Myers back. He doesn't have to be "the man" and has shown he's better off for it. |

I instantly thought in was going to be a suspension.
Like Kaiser pointed out, the play earlier in the game where eichel got crushed, made it more likely to be premeditated.
Love eichel, but looked intentional |

Would you trade bogo for myers hypothetically?
If it was the same term and conditions?
I'd rather have bogo.... |

Yeah, definitely not worth a big contract but he’s a proven 30 point #4 D man.
If Dahlin gets even better (he will) he and Montour skating around will be a treat to watch |

Would I? Yes. Myers' skating more than trumps what Bogo brings, imo. |

No problem with the hit by Eichel or the suspension. Good to see that he's got an edge to his game and hasn't taken on Phil's personality like the bulk of the team. I don't know how Nelson can look Jack in the eye after his no-show on the ice. As brutal as Scandella's play has been this year, at least he was the first one in to defend Jack. Skinner and Skunk were in there throwing punches too.
So do we think Nylander is going to play with Sobotka this week? My guess is that Phil is gonna Phil. |

I'd rather have Stralman on a shorter deal?
I also don't think it will be long before Borgen is here. |

Pretty good, not 10 million dollars good though.....

Two game suspension will help the tank effort. I believe the 10 million dollar man did it intentionally so he wouldn't have to play in two more pathetic games. I cannot blame him one bit. The season has been over for awhile now so it really doesn't matter if they all get suspended. |

Eichel will forfeit $107,526.88. Can you imagine making over $50,000 a day playing a game? He makes in two days what it takes the majority of us a year or more to make. Unbelievable. |

Just looked at the Rochester stats. Was Guhle the Risto of Rochester? He was a team leading -11 and the next closest is -6 (S. Wilson) with many players being strong +'s. Pilut and Dougherty leads the team at +22. |

I’m not sure how they calculate the forfeiture. If you break down his salary over 82 games he actually makes $121,951 per game. Daily he would make $27,397 per day every single day of the year. Pretty crazy. |

If Karlsson hits the open market, should the Sabres go after him instead of resigning Skinner? Would Karlsson even go to Buffalo? |

I’d say no to both but he’s an outstanding player who has many fans. |
