No way Skinner signs on to stay with this crappy team.
He sounded like he can't wait to go play for a winner after the game today.
Too bad our GM didn't trade him at the deadline. Could have got a trove of futures for him. |

I made a joke that we should of bought low on Laine and sould high on Skinner while we could have. I guess now it wasn’t that much of a joke. |

They absolutely need to shat can Phil. Watching that garbage effort was franking embarrassing. You DONT have to be the most talented team to win but you absolutely have to out work your opponent to win.
That effort was just bad. |

As along time fan, I am at the end of my rope. I dont know who is more clueless, Botts or Housley. In any event, Buffalo is going to be the second team in NHL history to have a 10 game winning streak and not make the playoffs. I have put my heart and soul in this team as a fan for over 35 years.....bleed blue and gold, but I can't do it anymore......its just pathetic. |

Wow. So very quiet in here last night, even in the afternoon during the game it was relatively quiet.
Have we reached the point where we are tuning this mess of a Sabres team out?
I know I am certainly less engaged, I didn't watch nor record ths game to watch later...a conscious decision.
If this season has done that to the obsessed fans here, I wonder really how bad it is throughout the Sabres fandom...and does Botts recognize how bad it has gotten, or is hexwatching this meltdown with rose colored glasses.
Shame really. |

How can ownership expect fans to show up to the games while the players, still collecting their highly funded pay cheques, don't show up to games? |

I wouldn't blame Botterill too much, he can't change this overnight. However, it is his job to identify and get the right coaches for this team. |

It wouldn't surprise me if by the end of the season the Hawks, Oilers, Rags and Nucks pass us in the standings and we're sitting in the 6th spot. |

And all Botts has said is he likes the coaching staff. Maybe he's just saying it and wants to be careful but he has to realize Housley is no HC and he needs to make a change. At the very least and I said it many times that Payne and Hajt should have been fired after last season but stayed on. If Housley is retained for next year it will get worse, regardless of what player changes are made. |

I would pretty much bank on this happening. They couldn’t BUY a win right now. They’re playing so bad that if the team collectively fell out of a boat they couldn’t hit water. |

Agreed. I don't think they can even beat the Wings and Sens right now. |

What is the attraction with Ralph Krueger? He's only coached 1 season in Edmonton and that was only 48 games. I would rather have an experienced NHL HC with SC experience. |

They are playing like a team that knows their season is over. No chance at the playoffs and it shows. Just keep falling down the standings I want another stud to add to the core. |

If you think their record will be worse next season with a decent talent infusion and another year of improvement from Eichel, Reinhart, and Dahlin, then Phil needs to be fired immediately. |

Well, at least the Amerks won last night and the kids produced.
Olofsson- 2 goals
Leier- 2 goals
Asplund and O'Regan- 2 assists each
Nylander- 1g and 1a
And don't look now, but Nylander is 4+2 in his last 4 games. |

Experienced NHL HC’s w SC experience don’t often come available, and Quenneville to BUF is pretty unlikely in my view.
A pro sports HC isn’t usually an X$O guy. He is a leader of men, who knows how to optimize individual and collective performance. Krueger has done that everywhere he has been given an opportunity. |

Now if Nylander can do it for the remainder of the season and playoffs then I’ll change my tune on him being a bust. Would also speed up our timeline of competing if we could graduate a player into a top 6 role without giving up any more assets (apart from the pick we used to draft the kid). |
