The complete package. Speed, skill, hands and smarts are his best attributes but there's plenty more to his game. If Hughes wasn't in this draft, Kakko would lead it going away. He's gonna have an unbelievable NHL career. He'll be on an NHL roster next year.

side note- Laaksonen plays in the same league as Kakko and he's doing quite well there as a 19 year old.

It’s starting to get to the point where I hope we win the lottery for 2nd overall pick so we don’t have to decide between hughes and Kakko. If you could morph Barkov and Laine together you’d get Kakko.

I have to think each new loss causes Housley's chances to be fired at the end of the season to rise exponentially. With how things are going the second half of the year, I don't think Botts can give him another season.

Edit: And this is coming from someone who usually believes in staying the course.
