I feel like a lot of fans are low-key holding out hope that the Canucks will get Karlsson
- Nucker101

I honestly hope they make trades and OS. Karlssons age and injury history is very scary

I can see Benning putting the 2020 1st in play with his job on the line. If he puts this team in Ottawa's situation this year, I don't think he'll ever be allowed into this city again

No way in hell does he OS anyone.

I low-key wouldn’t mind this if we didn’t have some anchor contracts (loui, beagle)

Who says JB will be the GM in July?

So many things can happen before the draft so you may as well sit back and grab a big bag of popcorn.

I could see Benning if still GM doing some Big Balls moves including demoting Eriksson

His timeline doesn't add up with ours, they need to stay patient and stop overpaying for elite mentors/role players.

We'll see. I think EP has saved him this year like Brock did last year.

I could 100% see him dangling the 2020 first and going hard in UFA after guys like Myers, Gardiner, Ferland and Brock Nelson after he strikes out on Karlsson.

Panarin I think is going to the highest bidder(excluding boring/hick cities) so maybe Jimbo offers him a monster contract.

Baby steps, if we are going to overpay at least get players that can play.

I actually enjoy the more pass-heavy NFL, but I miss the big open field hits more than the 40+ run plays.

Same with the NHL, I like the non-grabbing era of hockey but I miss the big hits that are becoming more rare with each passing season.

- Nucker101

These players are just too fast with the conditioning and technology ...I miss the big hits too but I understand they can’t happen with concussions.

I love the nfl now too ...I just laugh at record books in any sport when the game and rules change so much

No chance you could get a first for Markstrom so no need to even contemplate trading him
- CallmeTiny

No Chance? The guy is playing like a top 10 goalie this season.

Fredrik Anderson a 1st and 2nd

Martin Jones and his 34 games of NHL experience for a late first plus

Yeah I think there is a huge offer for Panarin.

Makita, Love everything you do on this site but you seem pissed tonight. If its from watching this BS I get it but if there's other issues going on then I hope sh*t changes for the better

Thanks for the kind words Tiny, not pissed at all, just tired of a certain poster that thinks he’s smarter and likes to be superior or condescending.

I have an opinion like all Canucks fans, but because of my status it seems I shouldn’t be allowed to post my opinions, so I’ll step back and not criticize the coaching staff as that seems to be what a few others resent.

Team isnt ready to play - that is on the coaches. Team lacks talent and delth - thats on the GM. At least the owners are willing to spend - could have that Ottawa loser.

The constant coaching female doging is hilarious

You give the best chefs in the world a couple good spices and a Swedish meatball with a bunch of cow poop and say make me a great meal ...guess what ...it won’t be that good

You give the best chefs in the world several spices to work with and say some good Canadian beef with some Russian vodka and a lot less cow poop ..,things could work out

I think that’s probably true of every generational shift in sports. I’m not nearly old enough to know, but I’d wager most of a generation railed against the rules changes coming in and how the records wouldn’t be the same.

Reminds me of that (Nike?) golf commercial about the history of the ball, and each new iteration an old man saying it’s ruining the game of golf.

Let me be condescending for a moment here. If you don't like different opinions, maybe you shouldn't post on an open forum.

I didn't tell you that you were wrong or that I know more than you. I have a different opinion. Maybe take your own advice and just don't respond.

True

I’m definitely cool with this, but I’m frustrated that it’s happening repeatedly while the team is making moves to be “competitive”

It’s bittersweet

- Nucker101

I think where they’re at is where they were intended to be. This year. The previous 4 years though...

I think technology and knowledge will only make current athletes that much better and the record books in many sports will be challenged
